It could be interesting to hear what comes out of the PC webinar webinar...especially with both basketball head coaches present.

There is an opportunity to submit questions-any suggestions? Email says Kit Hughes, Coach Magarity, and Coach Paulsen will be participating

Here was a "highlight" for me that should tell us all about Dave Paulsen. After speaking about the tradition, NCAA and NIT championships, great players and great school said "I believe in the mission of the school. You know, education of the whole person, and being men and women for others . . ."
He then said that what "really drew me and really excited me about the job was during the interview process to have the chance to interview with Maureen [Magarity], and Bob Chesney and Bill Riga and I left, and I drove home that night. I said, I want to be a part of that kind of community those other coaches who, I think, are going to be colleagues of mine friends."
So kudos to Kit for making those talks happen and kudos to Bob, Maureen and Bill for helping "sell" Holy Cross to Dave. I believe that DP has seen how the whole package Holy Cross has offered by those coaches to student-athletes has turned around those 3 programs and can also do for men's basketball.

This gives a small positive sign that we will keep Coach Riga. Not a good sign for Coach Lachapelle's tenure, but she could have been away recruiting or coaching the national team.

It is very hard to move from Atlantic Hockey to a head job at a higher level hockey program. You’d certainly have to win the AHA title a couple of times before it would be a realistic possibility. I think we’re good with Riga for a while.

Remember we lost head coach Paul Pearl to a higher level program...as an assistant. Coach Riga has been there and done that already in the same ECAC league so we should be safe. Looking forward to the first winning season in men's hockey in a long time next season.
The AHA, like the PL is a gift if you like your glass half full. Men's hockey has a hill to climb over a whole season in the AHA, but not the mountain to climb that women's hockey has in Hockey East.

My understanding, Paul Pearl decided to leave HC when he did not get the AD when FADDR retired from his position.

I have always heard it was the lack of commitment to improving facilities and Overall support for the program from HC Administration.
