Goff just underthrew a pass to Kalif, way behind him, announcers said he would have taken it to the house if he was led properly. Announcers also talked highly of his journey in the NFL and his fit with the Lions. Said he also was just like Coach Dan Campbell with his toughness. That was Troy Aikman. High praise from a Hall of Famer.

Oddly enough, at age 29 Kalif is probably older than most NFL players He's been to hell and back by NFL standards. Bouncing around from team to team and practice squad to 53-man roster, he's anything but a "young guy." Definitely should be considered a veteran at this point in his career.

The Lions traded for Donovan Peoples-Jones, one of the better home/road split receivers from 2022. I don't know that he's been on the radar much this season, but the Browns QB situation is unstable at best. He's not a punt returner, but obviously could take reps away from Raymond on offense. Could just be depth with the departure of Reynolds too, but ya never know.

Doubt if DPJ will impact Kalif. His role is pretty well defined. He’s going to get his 2-5 targets and 1 rush per game. They trust him and go to him in key spots on 3rd down, etc. Should have had a TD this week if Goff didn’t miss him badly.

Not a Lions fan, but they are a very entertaining team to watch and their coach has them believing in themselves. If they can stay healthy the rest of the way, they will be a dangerous team in the playoffs.

He's one who will replace a player if he doesn't produce, need more of that!

The Chargers went for it on 4th and 2 a few plays later and converted to allow them to milk the rest of the clock and kick the winning FG.

Lions and Bears only punted twice each. Most other possessions ended in scores or turnovers. Goff had a trick or treat day. Three picks, two other near-picks and a worm burner on one of the two targets to Kalif and three great scoring drives…one at the end of first half and two at the end of the game. Kalif is playing fewer snaps with Jameson Williams’ increased PT and it may be further reduced with the trade for Donovan Peoples-Jones, a Michigan alum. Also the Detroit papers mentioned on Thursday that Kalif had a minor ankle injury that might limit his PT.
Hopefully, he’ll be used more and have a breakout game on national TV on Thursday vs. the Packers.

Looking forward to seeing Kalif on Thanksgiving! This will be the first time in my life that I have any interest in the tradition of watching Detroit on Thanksgiving day. They ruined the Packers' unbeaten season in 1962. Did not know that they would have been the only team besides Miami to run the table in a 14 game season (and the playoffs, which was only 1 game). archive.jsonline.com/sports/packers/134404073.htmlAfter that Lombardi lobbied to make the Lions' opponent on that day a rotation. I only remember a few games from my childhood (I was 11) specifically. That was one of them.

One of the favorite Lions games of my youth. Lions sacked Bart Starr 10-12 times and led at one point 26-0. Lions lost 3 games that season by a total of 8 pts. - 9-7 in the first GB game where Milt Plum threw a pick in GB territory late in the 4th quarter with Lions’ holding a 7-6 lead, 17-14 to Giants in NY where a Yale Lary punt was blocked and 3-0 in Chicago in the last game of the season after GB clinched the Western Conference title with a win over the Rams in a Saturday game. ‘62 Lions were the best Lions’ team since ‘57 championship and last Lions’ team to start 8-2 until this year’s version.

Kalif ran back a short FG attempt for dozens of yards and almost broke it.

Thought he was going to house that short FG attempt for a second.
GB should've tried the fair catch kick!
