So the post-spring season musical chairs has begun. The NCAA job site has postings for HC assistant coaches in W Basketball and W Soccer. Plus a Director of Ticket Ops.

Assuming you are implying the pace is slow in the ticket office, I can assure you that working there is like working at a fast food restaurant where customers are often a rare sight and boring to work at but then 2 buses full of kids show up for lunch and you are going out of your mind.
When football championship game is on the line or a playoff game, it's a tough gig in Crusader ticket department.

Coach McCray was an underrated asset as he was the only coach described as working primarily with guards. The development of Freshmen Kaitlyn and Simone was terrific and players like Addie who is a poor shooter and Cara who is 5'3" contributed to a championship season with other aspects of their game.

WBB filled both positions as well as DBO (https://goholycross.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster#sidearm-roster-coaches) no action on softball.

Men's Ice Hockey has a Director of Hockey Operations position open.
Did they not hire a third assistant coach which is allowed this year?

This hire is the first assistant. Former D3 head coach and HC alum. My understanding is she's full time. There is budget for a part time second assistant. And yes a third assistant in the dugout is allowed this year, but unless they find a volunteer I don't think that's in the athletic department's budget.

Her Masters degree is a mouthful. I've never seen one phrased that way. But coming from such a prestigious university as Georgetown and accompanied by a coaching opportunity for a Big East team while studying, it was a great career move.
Would an Occidental level school (#37 National Liberal Arts Colleges USNWR ranking) consider her for head coach at her young age without that Masters in her field? It seems to be de riguer these days. The degree is probably not essential to do the job but seems like it's essential to get the job. Well played Coach and welcome back aboard.

It's not uncommon to get your Masters as a Graduate Assistant early in your career. Having one from Georgetown is a bit outside the norm (I don't think Coach Pat has a GA spot to give), but no-doubt a good thing in the eyes of HC.

Interesting enough former HC player Alex Gustafson has a doctorate and just was named an Assistant at Providence College under another former HC player in Kelsey Christensen who has a Master of Science degree in sport coaching and leadership - kinesiology.

Christensen was the HC assistant under Coach Lapicki.
And all three played together at HC for a couple of years. Small world.

Softball added MacKenzie Beyer to the staff. Recent Coastal Carolina grad with good stats as a player. Let's see if the new staff can help get some consistency in the circle and add some pop to the line-up.
