Thanks, Wayne. This could be the slate. Maybe there's one other game? 11/6 at Siena 11/11 at Georgetown 11/14 Sacred Heart 11/17 at Winthrop / IUPUI / Elon 11/18 at Winthrop / IUPUI / Elon 11/19 at Winthrop / IUPUI / Elon 11/25 at St. John's 11/29 Maine 12/2 at CCSU 12/18 Quinnipiac 12/21 at Harvard at Boston College The season ticket announcement says there are 13 home games so I assume there is one yet to be announced. Another assumption is it will be commensurate with the level HC has chosen to compete at for many years. In other words, a low major opponent. True, possibly (pending the unannounced home game)if you count only the home games. Not true, if you consider the three away games vs BC, GTown and St. John’s.

I haven’t finished my first cup of coffee so perhaps I am missing something but what do road games have to do with an announcement of 13 home games? Nine PL homes plus Q, SHU and Maine equals 12.

Our home schedule is weak and SOV suggested (no doubt correctly) that the final home game would be similar to what our OOC games have been for a while. Hoops was making the point that the road OOC schedule this year has some good opponents.

Just who do you expect to walk through the doors of the Hart Center to make the OOC home schedule more appealing?

While we’re a member of the PL, we’re generally not getting good OOC opponents at the Hart Center unless Paulsen is friends with a coach who wants to do him a big favor or Daigneault wants to bring the Thunder to town.

Would it be impossible to get either UMass or URI to the Hart? URI hasn't been good since Dan Hurley. UMass hasn't been good since a brief stint with Chaz Williams and Derek Kellogg. This shouldn't be impossible to do with these schools.
What if we tried to do a 2-for-1 with them?

How depressing is a game like that at the DCU with 2-3,000 people in the building?

Two seasons away from a full house
Ticket sales have already surpassed the past three years for hoops
Football numbers are up, in part from increased prices, and as a result give the appearance of being up significantly
buy your tix today or just make an unrestricted and unsolicited contribution to the CAF

Paulsen was well liked by a number of his fellow head coaches while at GMU. He and Schmidt, for example, seemed to enjoy each other's company. None, though, would want to play at the Hart, though possibly a 2 for 1 might work. The bigger problem, it seems to me, is having an available game at a workable date.

Several schools in that league have gyms with similar capacities. Some smaller (La Salle). Understandable why someone with a big arena wants no part of Mt. St. James.

Harvard game is at 2 PM on 12-21 which is a Thursday. Grrr I hate mid week afternoon games. Hopefully some fans are starting Christmas early or the school is relying on the aging fan base to be retired

The only days I could see that working is Veterans Day, the day before/after Thanksgiving, or if Christmas/New Years falls on a Sunday and Monday is the observed holiday.

Both I normally would have made the road trip to Sacred Heart which had this time slot last year. Harvard was at Hart last year, so this game is likely in Cambridge. It is rare that I miss an HC game in Cambridge, but I won't be at this one

I liked that it is easily drivable from my central MA base of operations. Also that it used to be common to see Celtic legend Satch Sanders in attendance at the games
