As I've posted previously in another thread, I made my first CAF donation to the women's soccer team. Others have posted about getting thank you notes from players or coaches.
While I got a very nice personal note from Bob Chesney for football, I got one for women's soccer. However, the signature is close to unreadable and does not come close to what would be any of the 3 coaches' names. I also don't think it's from one of the players because my experience with every player on any team is it's always "Mr. ....." rather than my formal first name.
Anyone out there who has gotten a similar women's soccer "thank you" who knows who signed it? FWIW, the signature also doesn't look like any of the players' names either.
I think it's nice and not complaining to get such a card but just curious who actually went to the trouble of personally writing it.

I'm guessing that it has something to do with the fact that doctors are notorious for illegible handwriting.

The stereotypical doctors’ signature is illegible. You are old enough to know that,
Am immediate example: My PCP practice is with her husband but goes by her maiden name. Her name and his look nothing like each other and yet when going to the pharmacist or lab for the first time, they ask me which doctor wrote the script as they cannot tell from the signature.
I live in a glass house and shouldn’t throw rocks as my own signature would appall the good nuns who taught me penmanship but now looks like it was written in Arabic with a broken hand.
Hopefully you understand the reference now.😊

I'm one of those rare folks with a legible signature--you can read every letter. It looks like a third grader's signature. I'm amazed by the scribbles that most people, not just doctors, use.

OK...most MDs may well have poor handwriting but not everyone with poor handwriting is a doctor.
Any luck finding out who signed your note?

Nope. Maybe it’s Vince Rougeau?😂 P.S. I believe Vince has a juris doctorate. Does that count?

Over the past four months I have seen six different specialist as well as my PCP in a very large multi specialist practice. In each case, the scripts were electronically submitted to the pharmacy by the Doctor or their medical assistant. I have not seen a Doctor use a prescription pad in more than 5 years. Now there is no need by the pharmacist to decipher the illegible signature of a crumpled and folded document pulled from a pocket or handbag. Once it is sent, my pharmacy sends me a message stating it has been received, with an eta for completion. Once completed, I receive another message that it is ready with the cost.
By the way, my dear friend 70, the Doctors were not associated with the practice that your close family member is associated. 😊

Just to be clear, my PCP does send many RXs electronically but not for lab work of which I have lots and some RXs apparently require a hard copy piece of paper thanks to Medicare (or Medicare Advantage) if it is something like diabetic test strips, etc. (what's it called, "durable goods"?). But, we digress. Maybe after the long weekend, I will try to track down who signed off on the thank you card since I know the graduated team captain. BTW, Crucis, my "close family member" never writes anything to us (emails/texts/phone calls, personal conversations, etc.) so I have no idea how her signature would look on a script. Last time I saw anything in writing was probably the wedding.
