Typical lame announcement of recruits - just the names and hometowns- no profiles to outline h.s. Accomplishments- maybe there’s not much to say

There were 27 total players on last season's roster including 8 seniors.
What, if any, limits are there on a PL team soccer roster? If maintaining a roster of 27, with only 8 seniors leaving (any transfers out?) and 13 new players, that'd mean 5 current players would be cut, right? Or is my math wrong? Considering the generally poor results last season, that might be the coach's plan.
Having connected with 3 of the remaining players who graduated from my high school on LI, I had heard that a 4th player from that HS was going to be on the team but I see no Long Islanders among the 13.

The ‘23 roster has been posted and it lists 19 returners so there will be cuts if there is a league limit - certainly there would be too many players just on the sidelines to maintain team morale

Please use your contacts to get a few of their top boys lax players to HC. I think their high school team could beat our college team so it would be greatly appreciated. 😊 How good was St Anthony’s boys lax this year? “ The team featured 25 seniors committed to playing college lacrosse, 19 of whom will be competing at the Division I level. ” www.newsday.com/amp/sports/high-school/boys-lacrosse/st-anthonys-boys-lacrosse-chsaa-state-title-ezz3z8zs

My networking focus has long been Holy Cross and would likely still be my old high school if I lived on Long Island but don't. They really don't know me from Adam and my financial support for them is minimal, so no influence there, as we know in all places "money talks."

There is no roster limit in women's soccer, be it NCAA or PL bylaws. Many PL teams have rostered more than 27, and often there are some walk-ons. The only limit is for the PL tournament - 22 iirc.

No item too picayune. Can fire digs at HC with either hand from any position on the field. Decades of eligibility left.

Walsh started every game her first two years. Her stats were much better her first year. Two possibilities: she got much worse in her second year or the defense around her got much worse in her second year. The latter is obviously more likely as players rarely get dramatically worse between freshman and sophomore year in college. It’s certainly possible but I’ll guess the team around her wasn’t as good her second year. And none of this means anything re: how good or not she’ll be at HC. As always, I’ll trust the coaches who have actually seen her play over the photog (mis)reading box scores. In typing this, I recognize I am setting myself up for the typical “I worked an Assumption/WPI scrimmage two years ago and she gave up a really soft goal” post.

I didn't misread the stats...they are just listed wrong on her career page at Assumption when you click on career stats assumptiongreyhounds.com/sports/womens-soccer/roster/julia-walsh/7421

You had to click another link to find the misinformation you reported. But, good work digging until you found something you could report to us, even if what you found was wrong.
