The HC women will be playing in the Princeton Invitational today and tomorrow at the historic Springdale Golf Club. You can read the details here and follow the action via a link: goprincetontigers.com/news/2023/9/15/womens-golf-womnes-golf-hosts-princeton-invitational-at-springdaleIt is a strong field including Princeton, which had a player in the women's amateur quarter finals, and 4 other IL teams as well as BU, Saint John's and Georgetown. It's a beautiful day for golf here in central NJ, so I will check out the action later this morning. GO Cross!

We finished last of 12 teams in a very strong field - not surprising but still very good experience for our young team In Saturday's 2nd round all six of our players shot between 74 - 78 Not that long ago we were fielding teams where many players could not break 90 This program is making progress, slowly but surely

Team is improving and finished 11th out of 15 teams at the Navy tourney over the weekend - our soph, Kate Hong shot an impressive 78-75 to lead the team and finish 8th overall among individual scores. Our coach, Steve Napoli is doing his best with zero financial aid - we have a frosh on the team that won the New Hampshire women's amateur in '22 and was runner-up this past summer.

We will see if that freshman stays...golf is notorious for coaches poaching players from the North.

Winning the NH Am is not like winning the Fl Am - the young lady has not been ‘lighting it up’ so far - she’s good, not great

Katie Hong had a good event. Scored better on day 2 when nerves can get the better of you. And I'd rather have a Freshman that won the NH Am than one that finished at the back of that pack...
Coach 'em up, give them some (financial) help and let's see what they can do!
