If we're in a close game our kicking game can make a difference. Our fg kicker, Palenzuela has been solid on PAT's but we need to see some fg attempts to know how reliable he'll be - I'm hopeful he'll be solid Our punter, Haughney has not had a good year. Yes, he doesn't punt much but he's had 9 so far for a 33.7 yard average which is last in the PL (only 2 inside the 20). I don't want to sound critical as he's been very reliable but I rarely see him getting off a booming kick and some of his yardage is when the ball bounces in from of the receiver. With our strong offense it's likely he won't see a lot of action but I'm looking for improvement from him

37, 38, 39, 41 yards today. I think one got run back a bit and the others not at all. A C plus or a B minus, IMHO.

There were 2 punts fair caught and the other 2 bounced in front of the receiver and gave Haughney another 5-10 yards - I’d like to see next year’s punter (if he’s on the roster) in one-sided games during the 2nd half of the season

The kid's not impressing me, that's for sure. But not really hurting them; the act of punting itself is more of a concern to me. Need to score a lot this year!

On a positive side Louis was great with the FGs. Might need him in two weeks or to recreate the upset of Army in a month

26/26 on PAT.
I wonder what the school record is for consecutive PAT made?
Wouldn't surprise me if Matt Partain has that record. Don't remember him missing much at all on XP.

Right you are: Matt Partain made 74 in a row. He made 98 of 99 for his career

Re: Patrick Haughney's punting- he was #1 in career yards per punt at 41-2 coming into this season, but has fallen to #5
40.9 McGrail 40.8 Macomber 40.8 Wilkinson 40.7 Fitzgerald 40.5 Haughney

Most of his punts this year have required placement in and around the 10 yard line with no return. The film shows how he drops the ball. I recall one bad kick that went about 20 yards
