I watched the ND-Louisville game last night and Louisville took control with a decisive victory on their home field. ND's QB was a 6th year transfer from Wake Forest while Louisville's QB was a 6th year transfer from Purdue. I know many schools do 5 year redshirting and HC allows 5 years for medical situations but I think the 6 year situations are ridiculous, get on with your life and give it up if you aren't good enough to get drafted after 5 years. Most on this board graduated in 4 years; I think the NCAA needs to establish a 5 year limit as this is nothing more than fueling the win at all costs mania at larger "factories". Have a good day y'all!

I think OG Hanson might be playing his 6th year for Holy Cross. I may be wrong, but I also think that Jacob Dobbs might actually have another year of eligibility left since he has both a COVID year and was medically redshirted last year.

I can't speak for Jake's situation but we do have another 5th year senior and I spoke with his father who says he has another year of eligibility but because HC doesn't have a grad school, if he uses that extra year, it'll have to be what I call "the Avery LaBarbara option" (i.e. grad school elsewhere).
Would be surprised if Jake doesn't try to go directly into the NFL regardless of his eligibility. I'm not of the opinion a 6th year is any real option at Holy Cross as the 5th years have to take a semester off and go double major I believe. Not sure how a 6th year could possibly work.

I know our fellow PL football opponents have grad programs, I am surprised none have tried to capitalize on having grad school as an option for 5th and 6th(!) Year players like Villanova did in securing Reich to play

CJ Hansen is playing his 5th year at Holy Cross. He has another year of eligibility left since he did not play in more than 4 games freshman year (2019). If CJ Hansen chooses to play another year it won’t be at Holy Cross, since CJ is graduating this semester. Dobbs is in the same situation as CJ Hansen. He has one year left due to his medical redshirt last year. He too would have to play somewhere else if he decides to play another year.

This board has been over and over and over this again and again.
This is the last year of this. Blame the NCAA COVID lockdown crew. Not players, coaches or schools.
