Here's hoping a couple more years allows that volunteerism secret sauce to show up on the ice as well.

I'm speechless. But I can still type. Congratulations Coach Lachapelle. I hoped for a Riga extension but I won't second guess Kit as the department overall is in an upward trajectory. Kit knows a little bit about hockey as he skated at the Hart Center so I'm going with his judgement and looking forward to continuing improvement in Women's Hockey.

Better start working on a multi year extension for Riga now. Chesney is not the only coach that will be in high demand. I can certainly see him going back to the Q if/when Rand leaves. Hopefully, not for 10 years!
