Kyle Smith (Wazzu and former Columbia coach) would do well at Michigan. I think Stanford will go after Kyle Smith. Smith had three good years at San Fran before taking the WSU job. Right you are, per ESPN. Good fit--West Coast guy, very successful at a high academic school (Columbia) and a winner in the Pac 12. I think Henderson is pretty happy at Princeton.

JMU coach is headed to Vanderbilt. That didn’t take long after the Dukes final whistle of the season.

The top JMU assistant is Johnny Cremins, Bobby’s nephew. Hope he gets a shot at the top job.

Not that I believe there is interest on either side, but the JMU folks at this point know how to get to Worcester.

I see Stanford and Cal basketball doing bupkis in the ACC. However, Wazzu's fate is open to speculation.

Much of the ACC is mediocre. I bet that the money is much better.

Not that I believe there is interest on either side, but the JMU folks at this point know how to get to Worcester. It is interesting how their retiring AD ends up needing to hire both football and men's hoops coaches in his final academic year. One would imagine they're pretty far down the road to naming the AD successor... kind of unusual for someone to take an AD gig where both of those key coaching positions are newly-filled with guys you weren't involved in hiring.

What are the odds that the departing basketball coach (to Vanderbilt) or the football coach (to Indiana) ends up finishing last in their conference in the next few years? Both schools tend to end up at or near the bottom in their respective sports.

Pat Kelsey to the Ville High risk, high reward Is the risk that he doesn't have P5 experience? He built winners at Winthrop and Charleston.

The risk is that Louisville fans, unhappy with an unheralded name, will not give him enough years to rebuild a team that is at rock bottom.

Dave Smart, assistant at Texas Tech, longtime head coach in Canada, take the Pacific job. Will he re-recruit Martindale ?

Welcome Coach Kelsey!!!!!!! How much time will your Ville fans give him ? I don’t know that Ville fans are more unreasonable than other fans. I think if he new coach shows some progress (should not be difficult) the fans will show some patience

Kenny Payne was a disaster since day one.
Don’t blame Louisville fans for being frustrated.

Andy Enfield leaves USC for SMU Interesting. What’s the story? PAC-12 disintegration? 15–18 record? Issues with LeBron and Bronny James?
