Congratulations to Matt. Well earned. When football historians of the future review the digital footage (which shouldn't fade with age like film and video tape, right?) they will be amazed at how well the grass field held up in the rain, or that grass was even used back then.

Believe Matt would trade those honors in for a win over Lafayette in a heartbeat.

WARRIOR - Matt Sluka Holy Cross will always be in the game with Matt at the QB hem...... whoever they may play....... I think this is a team and we have multiple individuals that lead the way and make big plays -Coker - Dobbs -Fuller ~Hanson -Newman -Schoen -Shorter -Sluka Some like Jalen, Jake, Jordan, and Matt are amazing and might be generational performers I did this alphabetically and apologize in advance for leaving any young man off the lists Thank you for spoiling all the fans and alumni

Other recognition FedEx Ground FCS National Team of the Week Lafayette (38-35 win at then-No. 15 Holy Cross) It was that good of a game. FedEx didn't get the memo that the PL sucks. Or else it got there after 10AM.🙂

Other recognition FedEx Ground FCS National Team of the Week Lafayette (38-35 win at then-No. 15 Holy Cross) Makes Sluka's performance that much more impressive...he did it against the team of the week! As someone else said, I am sure he'd take less yards and less accolades for the W, but national player of the week and an all time performance from the QB position has to be a nice consolation prize

Congratulations to Matt and, of course, to his blockers!

Having to assume Pesansky would have been international player of the week if we had benched Sluka as was suggested by one poster.

Not to take a detour on this thread, but I imagine Jake has to be the front runner for the Buck Buchanan award (perhaps with Kelly from Albany) as he still leads FCS in total tackles and TPG. He has consistently been graded as a top two LB each week.
