How many years has it been since I and others had season tickets to both men's and women's basketball because almost all the home league games were double headers? From memory, you could buy men's season tickets; women's season tickets; or, for a reduced rate a combo package for both. Wanting to support both teams but couldn't see making that 146 round trip twice as often. Something had to give and it was women's basketball.
I do wonder if HC and the PL are testing the waters for a return to the good old days?

Agree that there should be a push to bring back dh's, especially on weekends - Army and Navy have been the only ones doing this on Saturdays for many years with one of the dh's on CBSSN

There are many, many variables but the large number of Athletic Administrators in the PL, who typically hold Masters degrees, should be able to form a committee of smart, young, ambitious Associate/Assistant ADs to study how the WCC and A-10 elevated themselves among mid-major conferences, why they are either continuing to elevate, plateau or fall back and what the PL could do to try to elevate itself competitively in the mid major space.

That AU loss at home to Laf is bewildering- ‘Pards had lost 7 straight We have a two game lead over AWP and AU as the first half of league play concludes

Army also lost to Lafayette. By twenty-six. At home.

HC gas a two game lead at the halfway mark after nine games. I am unsure about whether low major regular season champs will earn an auto-bid to any tournament this year. However finishing first does earn home court throughout in the PLT.
Even though HC might not need it this year, I very much like every team qualifying for the playoffs. Some PL sports are structured to leave poorer performing teams out of the league tournament. I like every team having the opportunity to improve all season with the chance of lightning striking in the league tournament.

I don't know if I'd put the A10 in that category any more. Back in the Marcus Camby days and the beginning of the century; for sure, yes; I believe they were routinely getting 3-4 NCAA tournament bids. Now they're lucky to get two.

The WCC has Gonzaga and St. Mary's which helps them out...

Bad loss for AU, but we had no size out there today. Emily Johns only played 20 minutes because of foul trouble, and Molly Lavin (knee) didn't play. The week off before HC is much needed.
AWP looks at this point of the season to be playing very good BB. Up 38-25 at the half over Navy. Swarming physical defense and shooting nearly 47%. They are legit I think. They look to be a very different team than the one we played and beat by 15 in early January. Granted, they have had a couple of bad losses to Lafayette, but good wins over Colgate & BosU. PL continues to be a mystery this season.
