Happier one than usual. My school won on Thanksgiving Day, which it does once or twice a decade (the series stands something like 80-34; it's pretty even if you take out the 1940s, 50s, 70s, 80s and 2010s ). Always cause for celebration even after all these years!

So many of these near me have gone kaput after many years.

In Mass, there are still HS games on Thanksgiving, but the expanded playoff structure means playoffs happen a few weeks before Thanksgiving, with some teams having some time off before the game. The championships happen next week during the week. Strange scheduling.
My own HS was the odd man out in a 5 team conference and has gone through about 5 different opponents on Thanksgiving in 20 years. We played a traditional rival long before I was born, but due to competitiveness, switched to a nearby school, which was cancelled due to lack of competitiveness. We now play St. John's Shrewsbury, a school familiar to many Crossports posters.

Our program was around .500 playing Catholic and GBL teams when I was there. They have been in a sub .500 morass for the last 15 years or so.
