Maybe there's not the same buzz as we've had in previous years as the giving seems to be down As the day is ending in 4 hours, we're at 560 donors (with a goal of 1500 !) and dollars given to athletics is approx $160,000 which is also down from last year
We might see them extend the deadline in order get more people contribute - let's celebrate coach Chesney's (apparent) decision to stay at HC and designate your gift to whichever program you wish

Are you off your meds again? I am just sharing what other schools are doing for their fundraising yesterday. It seems like Holy Cross fundraising wasn't as successful in terms of getting people interested in their athletic department.

Add to the millions they already have. HC would beat them in football and hockey.

In the past, Holy Cross major day of giving occurred in February. The November date after Thanksgiving has never been a point of emphasis for fundraising at the Cross. An example of the fundraising in February was posted by HC92 regarding the Power of Purple campaign. More than likely there will be a similar campaign that will occurred during Winter Homecoming. “HC92 Avatar Feb 25, 2022 21:53:54 GMT -5 HC92 said: 5,172 donors and counting. Over $2M raised. Not sure how these numbers compare to past efforts but seems pretty good for a day’s work.” crossports.freeforums.net/thread/7436/power-purple

Still waiting to see the Campaign for Tucker Field to be completed at UNH. Believe the goal is 1.5 million.

I think the renovations to the nationally ranked men's hockey facilities are more important to them right now over a practice field which is excess when they have a stadium is a video board thanks to a generous donation from a former employee.

It was started in 2012, in NYC, by two local non-profits. I believe this is Holy Cross' first year. IMO, it is a poor choice of dates at the national level, coming after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. -------------- As for UNH fundraising, their signature campaign last year raised $2,953,000, including $593,000 for athletics. The Crusader Athletic Fund raised over $3 million in fiscal 2023.

Princeton has many more varsity sports, and those athletes are likely donors upon graduation, and many wealthy alumni. HC certainly has a stronger fan base in football.

Princeton is a much larger school than HC. According to Google Princeton has 98,000 living alumni and HC has about a third of that.
