Men's hockey (8-7-2, 4-7-2 ATLANTIC) takes on the River Hawks of UML (6-9-1, 3-6-1 HOCKEY EAST) tonight at Tsongas and tomorrow at the Hart Center. Tonight is 7:15 and tomorrow at 7. Tomorrow's game will be on NESN+ in addition to the lovely FloSports. Very content with either Gale or Grande in net, it appears both can win and steal us games. Gale's 1.99 GAA is 10th in the NCAA and his save percentage is 4th.
Lowell has struggled this year. We swept UConn, they split with UConn. They did lose two 1 goal games against a highly ranked BC team. Lost a close one to BU and then was blown out by BU. Lost to both Bentley and Army from our AHA. Recently played a 3rd game against UConn and lost once again. Should be a chance for 2 wins against a non-conference foe.

Who would have guessed Holy Cross would be undefeated out of conference but three games under .500 in Atlantic Hockey.

UML announcers questioned Riga's time out timing saying the Crusaders were gassed on the ice. I didn't know enough hockey strategy to talk back to the screen and take on the announcers.

Only time you might not is if UML iced the puck and would not get to change.

4-2 final. Great effort all around. Big 4 goal stretch after UML got on the board.

What a weird first half of the season.
4-7-2 in Atlantic Hockey.
5-0-1 in the OOC.

I hope Kit can manage resources effectively to both sign a new FB head coach and extend Riga. Coach Riga has the program heading in the right direction.

I'll add to the extend Riga point, by ensuring the Assistants (alum Castan Sommer especially) get huge bumps as well. Make him the Associate Head Coach and pay him enough to keep him for another chunk of years with Riga. The Assistant Coach carousel has to stop if we want this program to stay on this track of success after nearly a decade of disaster.

HC made the national post season two years in a row with two skilled and experienced assistants who both left after last season to be assistants elsewhere. This season WBB has started 4-5 (3-5 D-1) after losing only one player.

This year there is a tougher schedule and without BPC in the last two games there are many more variables than just who are the assistants. In one case, they played Vermont to lose out in a very close game at the end. Last year (with the two assistants you cite) the Vermont game was a blowput loss.
