Is that an old quote, or did someone ask him about the hiring?

Is that an old quote, or did someone ask him about the hiring? Good question but since HC posted it I'm guessing it is a new quote. Day and Curran were teammates for UNH. Not sure if they've kept in touch since joining the coaching fraternity.

Army game was 100% on game strategy. They had a miserable secondary and didn’t take advantage of it. We have to figure out a way for in-game analysis on Crossports to feed into the head coach head set during critical points of the game if the program is ever going to be successful.

Chesney was a great recruiter and slick salesman and he assembled one of the most talented teams in the country. But if Curran had been coaching this past HC team, they wouldn't have lost four games. Just my opinion. Another recent post stated that Chesney's Crusaders were better conditioned than Curran's Warriors who faded in the early season heat this September. I feel safe concluding that based on their career records and which one got the offer to move up to a ranked FBS team, Chesney is currently the better coach but HC hired the best coach available in Curran and we have every opportunity to build on the Chesney foundation and go all the way in the near future.

Didn’t we decide/guess that Sluka’s arm was hampered and therefore we didn’t throw enough v the weak secondaries of Laffy and Army? (He missed the two games between Laffy and Army).

Sluka won big ones against Sacred Heart, Buffalo and Fordham with his arm when it was healthy in past seasons.

I think we are all qualified. I'm going to have stiff competition for the OC job! New football position: "Message Board Analyst" they can work with the video analysts to distill all of our keenly acute observations and recommendations. That is the real key to Frisco. All joking aside, we do have a lot of football knowledge on here from recruiting to in-game decisions, game scripts etc. Looking forward to the next era and getting some recruits to put pen to paper.

Ryan Day had some nice things to say about Curran. I hope he’s right! Wonder if their connection is gonna lead to a game against the Buckeyes? I’ve liked our chances against our FBS competition the last several years, but that would be an entirely different experience for HC. There is less than a 5 percent chance of Ohio State and Holy Cross both having UNH grads by the time of a potential game could be set up...

Holy Cross will never play TOSU in football. Never. The game would have to be scheduled about 10 years in advance, and would be one of the first ones to get cancelled if OSU wants to play somebody else, so yeah I'd agree.

Might have been depth as much as coaching. And Jeff Oliver's not moving to Virginia, is he?

If anyone is there, be sure to let us know! I am sure it is a meet and greet and nothing more, but would love to hear your impressions. Wife is sick but otherwise we might have gone out (or as she said maybe if it was a women's hoops game) 🤷♂️
