3000 kids & teaching staff @ 1030am; half-time must have been interesting in the restrooms.

The kids attending on education day would have loved the HC band, cheer and dance squads especially if they came up with audience participation dance moves. But this is core academic time and as Fr. JEB (My high school Priest was Diocesan Fr. John Brooks Shea who always said Fr. Brooks was only two thirds of him) said we aren't in the entertainment business. If the Nativity School has a band the kids would surely love them next year. Another thought for half time or any break would be four HC Quarterbacks, two each at either end of the court zipping spirals to each other, or maybe to receivers who would hand it back to the QBs. When you are little and throwing wayward pop-ups with the football, that would be very impressive to see. The Central Conn Band, Cheerleaders, and Dance teams were all at their game on Monday at the same time.

We are going to win, and good on Kara for the dagger three . . . but she's 4-16, while Bronagh has taken just six shots. Not good. Speaking of BPC, why isn't she on the floor with just over a minute left? Allen as well...skipped ahead a few times, did she foul out?

How do you figure Lehigh and BU are ahead of HC? By your logic that you used in another thread you pu-pued the Holy Cross wins over Stonehill and UML. Lehigh only beat Stonehill by 12 (HC won by 27) and BU needed a buzzer beater to beater UML (HC won by 10). Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships (as proven last year). I have no idea what will happen once PL plays starts. But as of today, purplehaze’s analysis is right on the money. There is no way that an objective observer wouldn’t have Lehigh and Boston University as the top two teams right now. That is also the opinion of the credible rating models, such as Massey. as I mentioned, that may change as we get into the PL part of the schedule. ...and HC just doesn't look good most of the time. NU being an exception, had my hopes up after that one. Hate to keep harping on it, but if this is their stride, they're going to lose the race by quite a bit.

BPC had 4 fouls & they were playing offense -defense with her & Wright, Allen struggled all game, wonder if she might have been under the weather, Berger was playing well in the 4th & they left her in.

Let's wait to we see the level of suckitude of the rest of the league before ordering flowers for the casket.
Don't compare HC WBB to the almighty, compare them to the alternative.

Might not be the best team that wins w/a 10:30 AM start. Might be the team that gets their eyes open the quickest. Whenever my girls travel team has an early game, we scrimmage in the halfcourt as our warmup to get everyone moving and competing. Layup lines don’t get it done for the early games.

The women have played 2200 minutes and the freshmen have played a total of 51. Worrisome. At our level, if your freshmen are getting a lot of minutes, you’re probably in trouble.

Our frosh last season, Flanagan and Foreman played a lot and certainly did not indicate we were in trouble - just the opposite. From looking at this year's frosh in their brief moments I agree with the coach, they don't seem ready.

Just sharing what other schools are doing with their kids games. People were complaining that those groups were not at HC's game and that was a decision made by Holy Cross to play the game on that date and time.

Last time I checked we’re all entitled to our opinion here - Lehigh is 8-2 with losses only on the road at Bowling Green (who have a good team) and Pitt. BU is 7-3 with a win over previously unbeaten Harvard and the trailed at ranked Colorado by only 4 points after 3 qtrs (before the Buffs went off in the 4th) Are you opining that HC would have fared as well against their schedules ? I’m rooting for HC to beat all PL opponents. BU down to Northeastern 25-10 after the first quarter....

NU really does have a thug issue, have a 3 pt lead with34 secs left & 0, Batts runs over a Weimar on a screen picks up her 5th foul & a tech. Bailed out by refs calling a tech on BU also. NU ball 70-69

I know it was the season opener, but surprised that Merrimack gave a very good Albany team a game, losing by 3.
Merrimack did not appear to have much talent

NU ball 70-69 Glad the Terriers won the dog fight. It will add luster to our three victories over BU this season. We'll be 4-0 vs Boston Bowsers.🙂 As long as the Crusaders are in the hunt all season long it's going to be very enjoyable.

Regarding Freshman, generally it's a senior driven league but with room for four year starters like Manis and LaBarberra when you are lucky or skilled enough to recruit them. But we only got one WNIT game over the six combined years we had those two so it's certainly not necessary for freshman to play alot or to have a flashy superstar. A player with great fundamentals like BPC can lead a championship team also.
