A couple of NIL tidbits. ND's NIL Collective has offered UNLV's star WR 250,000 next year. Clemson's Collective paid out 2.4 million to Tiger Athletes in 2022 according to tax filings.

That used to happen for years with NFL Bonus money. Beasley Reece with the NY Giants tried to have the team bring in financial advisors to help but they resisted. Many rookies got into tax debt, and if they were released found themselves in debt for years.

Many rookies got into tax debt, and if they were released found themselves in debt for years. Beasley came to speak to a Sports Law group when I was in law school. I vaguely recall it being about his financial issues and the importance of athletes getting reliable and honest advisors.
