AIC tied AFA late in the third period after AIC pulled their goalie. I Haven't followed hockey close enough to know how often pulling the goalie actually works but my sense is not often.
HC is the only team that's beaten AIC in an AHA playoff series in the last five years, so the Yellowjackets will be bringing their stinger down to Wustah ready to use it. Great to have a regional rival at the Hart in the tournament. The cozy old shed should be rocking next weekend.

7:00 puck drop on Friday and Saturday. If it goes to Sunday, 5:00 drop.
In the other series, Niagara had some success against RIT this season, going 1-1-1.

Anyone know whether NESN+ will be carrying the games?

Of note, our 20 wins are our first 20 win season since 2012-13.
We haven't won more than 20 games since 2005-06...and we all know what happened that season.
If we are to win the league, we'd reach 23 wins, which would be second most in program history.
Really fun team to watch this year!

God love hockey and FCS which allows HC to compete nationally when we have great coaches.

Yep, national rankings in college hockey are useless. Holy Cross is 24th in PWR this week. They don’t base at large NCAA bids off the rankings? The NCAA field is based off of the PWR. So they will take the at large berths straight from the PWR. There is no discussions of what teams make the tournament as everyone knows it goes by the formula. Holy Cross can only make the ncaa tournament by winning the auto bid at this point of the season.

Hell of lot better than being 385 out of 384 in "our feature sport!"

So you believe that our team can do the impossible (385 out of 384). Quite an act of faith (and frustration).

Foley is right that the rankings are meaningless as it relates to receiving an at-large to the NCAA Tournament...but, 24 in the PWR vs. 22 in the national poll tells me we are having a great season!
FWIW, in most years the final at large team is going to have a PWR in the 13-16 range...so, it's not like we really need to be worrying about this anyways. An AHA team has NEVER received an at-large.
If you were to extrapolate our hockey ranking, it's true we'd be around the 100th ranked team in college basketball...and how great would that be?

If a Sunday game at the Hart is needed, starting times for the two playoff games will be noon for WBB and 5pm for Men's Hockey. Good spacing. One or both arenas have been in mothballs by this time in March in past years. Kit didn't hire either coach but I'll give him credit anyway. Crusader Athletics are looking up.
