South Carolina vs LSU.
Cardoso thrown out for shoving a LSU player. All bench players ejected for leaving the bench, although no player from either side got involved in the fracas.
A guy jumped over the scorer's table and got in the middle of everyone trying to break it up. Got escorted off the floor quickly, but it was scary that he even got that far.

The guy who jumped over the scorer’s table was the brother of a player. The SEC will not do it, but neither team should be allowed in the NCAA tourney.

They won't, but LSU will only have 6 players available & SC 5 for their first game in the NCAAs due to the number of players tossed.

The announcers said something about only the person who got tossed for fighting would have to sit out the game.
Given USC will be playing a #16, if that's true, w/o Cardoso, they still won't work up a sweat.
I only saw the last 5 minutes or so of the game, but there was one juncture where a South Carolina player scored and yelled right in the face of a LSU player. If that was going on all game, it's not surprising something happened like this.

I think you are right, some of the post game suggested all the players ejected would miss the opener, but it maybe only those for fighting. These 2 teams really don't like each other.

Coach Mulkey of LSU poured gas on the fire with her very dumb post game comments. She deserves a reprimand which the SEC will not do.

Staley and Mulkey are top tier coaches. They should be held to high standards. The players should realize they will have a career advantage for life if they conduct themselves appropriately.

Two pushes, one resulting in a fall down would not be called a "nasty fight" or even a "fight" in my old North Worcester neighborhood.

Well, it was pretty rare in a women’s game. “Fight” may be debatable “Nasty” is not

Rare to see women push each other in college basketball games; I don't think so. Agree that it was "nasty", though.

Can’t stand LSU with the exception of Mikaylah Williams. Mulkey is definitely reaping what she sowed with her recruiting decisions. Good on her for winning a natty last year but that locker room is a hot mess. Definitely siding with South Carolina in any dispute with them. The contrast in the post-game commentary from the coaches was stark.

The contrast in the post-game commentary from the coaches was stark. Mulkey spent about five minutes yesterday ranting about an upcoming "hit piece" in the Washington Post, and promising a defamation suit (where have I heard this before?) when it actually is, um, published. Like countless others, I had no idea there was such a story in the works.
Looking forward to reading it - thanks for the heads-up, Kim.

I just wish Joan Rivers was still with us so she and her daughter could do a hit piece on Kim's wardrobe.

I think the WP has the highest standards before anything goes to print.

Can't say whether its true, but a post on X claims that Mulkey was offered multiple opportunities over the last two years by WAPO to respond top allegations that were being investigated and she declined every time.
