The CAA released the start times for their games this season. Both the Bryant and UNH games on 9/7 and 9/14 respectively are set for 2:00. The URI opener on 8/31 will kickoff at 7:00.

Actually it's a $29.99 question, which is what it costs for 30 days of FLO sports network, if that is where CAA games stream. Worth it for two HC FB games and both locations are close to many Crusader fans. The UNH game at home should be on ESPN+ unless the PL switches streaming networks.

I'm most concerned with winning all three CAA games and hoping at least two of those would be considered quality wins. We'll see.

I'm most concerned with winning all three CAA games and hoping at least two of those would be considered quality wins. We'll see. In 2022 lightning struck, going 11-0, beating an FBS team, beating H&Y in the same season for the first time ever, Fordham being ranked when we beat them, then earning an at large bid, and HC was coming off three straight playoff appearances which led to the last seed and bye. Going forward, to paraphrase General Douglas MacArthur it's the auto-bid, the auto-bid, the auto-bid. However, the stronger our opponents and the better our record the better chance for a home playoff opener and an easier route to go deeper in the tournament. And if good FCS teams move up or current leading FCS programs falter HC could be seeded again, no rule against it. And HC isn't a novelty act any more in FCS.

The assumption (of course) is a one-bid league with quality wins getting us a seed. (With a secondary assumption the PL wins aren’t quality wins).

If HC runs the table against the CAA, the PL could have a winning record against the CAA. Lafayette came out of nowhere last year. Let's see what the PL can do this year.

Was hoping for an afternoon game at URI followed by a leisurely dinner in Newport, then back to the Cape.
Driving 100+ miles at 10:30 PM is something I usually avoid doing.

I do enjoy reading your guesses and projections about the coming year. The only game I am concerned about right now is the April 13th spring scrimmage. After that I will move on to focusing on our opener against URI.

You’ll be disappointed if you expect to see the spring scrimmage this weekend - look for it the following Saturday Apr 13

Thanks for that. It gives them an extra week to prepare and me another week to be anxious. I'll make the correction.

I’d actually prefer to see Sep home games start at 3 - there’s plenty of daylight at that time and even enough for OT if that should occur
