Do schools contribute to NIL treasury or is that supposed to be outsiders who contribute? Not a clue, but I would suspect anything the school puts in to NIL would be subject to the gender guidelines of Title IX

Bucknell board reporting 4 'buy road games' on their ooc schedule: Syracuse, Maryland, Kentucky and Gonzaga - maybe they're taking those checks and turning some of the proceeds over to their NIL fund. Never heard of 4 such buy games in one season. Syracuse, Maryland, and Kentucky are confirmed. There are several reports about Gonzaga, but nothing official. Also home games with Richmond and Saint Bonaventure and a road trip to Princeton who won the regular season Ivy title last year. it’s definitely not the toughest Bucknell schedule however. In 2005–06, they played Villanova (#5), Duke (#2), Syracuse (Big East champ), and DePaul. Plus two other top 50 teams: Saint Joseph’s and Northern Iowa. Also a road trip to Santa Clara. The difference between then and now is that the Bison that year beat Syracuse, DePaul and Saint Joseph’s, and also gave UNI and Villanova close games. I don’t expect that sort of performance this year, although hopefully they will play some of the teams close. The 2005–06 team also beat Arkansas in the NCAA. I wouldn’t expect that to happen with this year‘s team. One thing about this year‘s OOC opponents is that the three confirmed opponents all have massive arenas, which hopefully means a big payday.

Never heard of 4 such buy games in one season. UNH in 2005-2006 had at least four road buy games in Providence, UConn, Penn State, and NC State. They also had a tourney at Columbia which was likely paid for also.

Hopefully on at least the top ACC network We should be able to learn that reasonably soon, I would think UVa Hoops website lists " TBA " re: both gametime and TV

I am fairly certain the game will be on ACC Network. There are some, but not a lot of college football games on "Black Friday" so those games should fill ESPN and ABC's schedules which should leave the conference networks available to televise college hoops on that day. And UVA is probably the third most marketable program in the ACC for hoop, even if their brand of basketball is painful to watch.

ACC Network would mean ESPN+ subscribers can watch it via that site, right?
BTW, was that the case for the BC football game last September?

Defense and patient offense won a national championship not long ago RW won some games for HC playing a similar style.

Well put, hoops. I am not tied to any particular system. I just want to see HC use one that works...and I believe that we have a coach who can secure and train the players needed to do that.

Holy Cross is scheduled to participate in a MTE at Brown with Brown, Sacred Heart and UNH. unhfan, curious as to where you saw this; not seeing it on the D1 docket, or discussed on any other message board.

I give credit to Coach Bennett and Coach Willard. They do play stifling defense and incredible discipline. I just prefer 75-72 with fast breaks and excitement than 52-43.

Do schools contribute to NIL treasury or is that supposed to be outsiders who contribute? AFAIK, schools do NOT put money into the NIL kitty. The NIL contract is between the player and the individual / sponsor / consortium. The college/university is not a party to the contract. Edited to insert NOT

Edited to insert NOT Among other issues, I would think IF schools contributed to NIL, they would have to do so in equal measure to women that they give to men
