Was 10th man at Rice in ‘23-‘24. Played in 21 of 32 games averaging 6.1 minutes per game, 1.4 ppg, 1.1 rpg and 0.4 apg on 30.8 % FG shooting (2-10/20% on 3s) and 73.3% from the FT line.

Welcome Gabe!
Kinda resembles a slightly larger Octave. So, the rising soph class loses Wills, adds Warren. Hoping it turns out to be an upgrade.
Roster is adding some length.....on the perimeter. Hoping for a nice final piece closer to the basket.

Not to say they are equal but, to me, Warren’s game has similarities to that of RJ Evans’ or Austin Butler’s. No pressure.

We are looking to replace the .405/.357/.800 of Wills. Let's hope good coaching and PL competition allows Gabe to improve his shooting at Holy Cross.

Gabe played with a '24 recruit, Bryson McGlothlin. Bryson chose Richmond over Holy Cross during the fall recruiting cycle, So there is some HC history with the John Paul II program out of Plano, Texas

Loos like Gabe Warren and another kid HC offered last year, McGlothin, were teammates for a year or two at John Paul ll in Plano. McGlothin is headed to Richmond in the fall. From what I have read, JP ll has been one heck of a team in recent years.

There are some very talented and athletic players at JP2. He and Bryson are the same size, have good length, and can get to the rim.

He was first team All State his senior year and Academic All State, both great things. He seems like the kind of transfer Paulsen needs to look at, tons of potential and smart enough to get into Rice and past HC Admissions.

Thanks, Nad Very impressive highlight reel Athletic, nice handle, really finishes strong at the rim. I do not know what happened at Rice, but I see Gabe playing big minutes from the start,

Limited minutes but note the very high free throw rate in those minutes

Limited minutes but note the very high free throw rate in those minutes His FT % may say more about his 3 point potential than his 2-10 for the season.

Get an impact big & that's a pretty nice front line....Warren, Kenney, Transfer Big.....with Batch & Boston in the backcourt....Nugent, Richard, Green, Singleton, Williams, Ryan, Hare off the bench....not bad

My guess is that Green, Richards, Singelton, or Williams will be part of the starting backcourt along with Boston.

I'm hoping he is developing a drive to the basket over the summer that will be aided by his outside shooting defenses will have to respect.
