Commentary by booth announcers (one was the GOAT) on Kalif, and I believe I heard them say that Goff said he needed to get KR more involved in the offense.

Commentary by booth announcers (one was the GOAT) on Kalif, and I believe I heard them say that Goff said he needed to get KR more involved in the offense. The point is the same but it was OC Ben Johnson not Goff who said that. The box score shows Kalif with 6 targets, most on the Lions today, with his four catches. I watched the whole game and thought I only saw 5 targets—the four catches and a pass thrown incomplete and behind Kalif that Brady said was a bad throw by Goff.

Glad to see Kalif as part of the utter domination and butt kicking of the Dallas Cowboys at Jerry's World. It was a beautiful thing.

But George won. Sooner or later someone will do a remake of this replacing Steinbrenner w/Jerry Jones. Whatever BB decides to do, hope he doesn't make the same mistake Parcells did.

Steinbrenner and Boston Mayor Kevin White were roommates at Williams College but when George came to Boston with the Yankees, Mayor White couldn't pal around with him in public.

This should have been an eight or nine yard gain. KR manages to double it.

Three catches for Kalif on a drive for the Lions. One for a big first down on 3rd and 9. Another for a touchdown on another third down.
Those crossing routes for him where he runs off a defender work so well.

Kalif was targeted 4 times, all in the second half. Had 3 catches-one for a first down and one for a TD. The only target that was not a recorded catch was a ball he caught along the sideline OOB where Goff barely missed an inbound completion on a pass of about 40 yds. Kalif stretched and caught the ball but landed OOB.
As a Crusader alum and long time Lions fan, I’d like to see the Lions utilize Kalif more. He seems to deliver every time the Lions go to him.

Goff is having a great season with terrific #'s! Without DE Hutcheson the Lions may be facing more high scoring games ... Goff & the offenses look up to winning them.

Not sure there is a bigger bonehead than Jameson Williams of the Lions. Suspended for the second time in his short career, this time for two games for using PEDs. The silver lining is that his absence should mean more snaps and targets for Kalif.

With Jameson Williams out, expect Kalif to be targeted more than he has been in most of the Lions’ games this year. Both Dan Campbell and OC Ben Johnson praised his play in the paper this week.
Johnson said “ He (Kalif) comes in with a great attitude and he’s willing to do whatever it takes. If you told him, ‘Hey, you’re going to have 10 snaps this week and they’re all run-blocking,’ he’s going to attack that with vigor, and he just loves playing football and being out on the field for his teammates. And so, when you combine that mentality along with — he’s probably got the best press releases on the team because of how small and shifty he is, guys can’t keep up with his quickness, he’s a threat in man-to-man, and then his run after catch is that of what you would expect of a punt returner. So very dynamic weapon. There were some games earlier in the year we didn’t feel like we were giving him enough opportunities, and so the last couple of weeks, we’ve been able to get the ball in his hands and he’s taken it and run with it.”

Lions finally threw it to Kalif early in the 2nd quarter. Drew a rare double foul on the defense, facemask and DPI on the guy trying to guard him. TD Lions on the next play.
