Lions finally threw it to Kalif early in the 2nd quarter. Drew a rare double foul on the defense, facemask and DPI on the guy trying to guard him. TD Lions on the next play. Then returned a punt for 64 yds. to set up Lions’ fifth TD of first half.

I wonder what the Lions record is for punt return yardage in one game?

If you want to play in the NFL out of FCS, go to Holy Cross.

I wonder what the Lions record is for punt return yardage in one game? Eddie Drummond, 199 yards.

Drummond had six returns for 199 yards, 33.2 yards a return. Kalif averaged 38 yards a return today.
Maybe the stat should be average yards a return, five or more returns in a single game.
The Detroit offensive stats in this game are ridiculous, given the final score.

Great return, but he looked even better in purple. Looked great in purple. Looks equally good in Honolulu blue and silver to this long time Lions’ fan. His arrival in Detroit in 2021 along with Dan Campbell, Brad Holmes, Penei Sewell and Amon-ra St. Brown has coincided with the Lions’ rise from the doldrums.

With his super productive day today, Kalif now has a career yards/punt return average of 11.1 and is now in top 25 in NFL history.

Sluka would have scored also, but would have bounced off a few people on principle.

Sluka would have scored also, but would have bounced off a few people on principle. I think Matt Fanning takes that one to the house as well.

Kalif is best Holy Cross pro athlete since??? Bruce Kozersky Agree here. Kozersky appeared in a Super Bowl. With my Jets being a total dumpster fire this year and the other team in MetLife also looking like a division cellar dweller, the Lions are my bandwagon squad. Commanders a distant second since that's the rooting interest for most of my extended family. My mom grew up in Baltimore and they were huge Colts fans growing up. However, the cousins in my generation all adopted sports allegiances right around the time that the Browns moved to Baltimore to become the Ravens. So, they're all Commanders football fans but also Baltimore Orioles since DC didn't get a team back until 2005.
