Assuming the nearly $88,000 raised is additive to the $600,000 raised through the beginning of June, the football program is close to reaching its fundraising target of $800,000. That is a spectacular achievement.

That is a spectacular achievement. IIRC at the beginning of the event speaking program it was announced that $52k had been raised to that point. |

I posted this comment on our 90-Wide page on LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7206272998599708672/ June 10, 2024: A truly phenomenal day for the overflow turnout of many Crusaders across the last 6 decades yesterday at Pleasant Valley Country Club for our annual Friends of Crusader Football Golf Outing. The interaction among our current Crusaders and the alumni is beyond special. The energy in the room provided by Coach Curran broke the meter. In reflecting on the day, the surroundings, the turnout and the weather, one might think that there may very well have been a higher power at work 'up in the box' calling some plays and formations and 'setting the scene'. On that note, a highlight of the day was the presentation of the Tom O' Brien 90-Wide Mentoring Award to Brian Cullinan. Thank you to legendary Crusader Rick Cohn '68 for the inspiration behind this award. Thank you and congratulations to Brian for his dedication to HCFB and our 90-Wide. The pride in the eyes of Brian's son Jack as his Dad receives this award is priceless.

I love that in Tom O'Brien's obituary, it said, "Donations in his memory may be made to the Holy Cross Gridiron Club".
Might that be a first?
