breezy, several comments.
1.) Thanks again for your diligence, perseverance, and fortitude in reporting on news from the twitterverse.
2.) Very few tweets from athletes at West Coast high schools, assume this is because coaches haven't made it out there yet.
3.) A number of the *** recruits being offered by HC are also being offered by Ivies, but nary a mention of their receiving offers from a school in Chestnut Hill. Perhaps that school feels they are academically over-qualified.

You are right about the West Coast -- we have one offer to an Oregon recruit but that's it. I suspect you are right that the coaches have not been there as yet, so that may change over the next couple of weeks.
Here is the breakdown of the 50 offers made to date by State:
Louisiana 02 New York 02 Texas 06 Missouri 04 Connecticut 01 Oregon 01 Tennessee 02 Ohio 05 Pennsylvania 09 Maryland 02 Massachusetts 01 Florida 03 Illinois 02 Georgia 04 New Jersey 02 Kansas 01 Michigan 03
Funny you should mention the school in Chestnut Hill. The only one of the 50 HC offerees who has committed to a school (QB from Fordham Prep in NY) has given a commitment to the Eagles.

A couple of pages back we saw a player announce his offer from "Holy Cross University" with follow-up posts from board members lamenting that he got the school's name wrong. To see how prevalent that misnaming is--and because I have nothing really informative to add on the subject--I went back and took a look at what the recruits called our school:
"Holy Cross"= 34 recruits
"(The) College of the Holy Cross"= 7
"Holy Cross University"= 3
"University of Holy Cross"= 1
"The College of Holy Cross"= 1
So, we're running under 10% (wish it were 0%) on the "University" designation......

Of course, an alternative is to start offering graduate degrees and change the name, as some people want, to "The University of the Holy Cross," though the latter part is what he would like to change, not the former part. BTW, we should be like the insufferable Buckeyes and be sure to emphasize " The" so no one mixes up the school with any other.

Oh for the days when "Holy Cross" sufficed. See my earlier note, "Holy Cross" still suffices for most targeted recruits.
