RJ would probably have to be the lookout at the restaurant. And he would definitely do a better job than pitino’s last one

Kevin Ollie out at UCONN, potentially “with cause” (no buyout) amid NCAA investigation. There is a report out that the NCAA investigation has to do with illegal workouts

Carmody is 10x the man that Pitino is, no doubt about that. But Pitino is 10x the coach. Also, no doubt about that. So if I do the math, they are even, so I'll still take Carmody Nice guys don't always win.

Nice guys don't always win. But they usually don’t get fired in disgrace so you are joining caro to bring Pitino to HC ? Nope. Many other good coaches out there who also aren't crooks. If we are playing in fantasy land, I'd rather have Tom Crean. How about Ryan Odom? Pretty remarkable the job he's done at UMBC.

We have a much better coach and staff right now, thanks anyway Carmody is 10x the man that Pitino is, no doubt about that. But Pitino is 10x the coach. Also, no doubt about that. A willingness to cheat can give you that edge. I would hope that HC would never fall into that trap.

Wait a second,! is Carmody leaving ?

As long as we are talking about the chances of bringing Coach Pitino to HC why don't we discuss the equally likely possibility that Trae Young will transfer in from Oklahoma??

Two random thoughts on our hypothetical. . .
Since Pitino was talking about suing for wrongful termination, is it reasonable to assume that he'll be clean where ever he winds up? If, in his mind, he did nothing wrong, why alter behavior?
HC's current staff may be guilty of not keeping a tight enough reign on some players and not character screening enough to bring in players that might do naughty/stupid things. However, to the best of our knowledge, the actual transgressions at HC were committed by the students. At Louisville, the staff was actively participating in the transgressions

Tom, how do you screen an 18 year old to prevent something stupid from happening in the future?

Tom, how do you screen an 18 year old to prevent something stupid from happening in the future? Devin Brown began his career at HC as a potential "problem player", but he quickly fell into line because the culture in the program. The upperclassmen (AVB, Doherty) forced him to play by the rules. AIR, Willard was pretty close to kicking him right off the team. Lou, it's very possible to shape/mold an 18-year old.

Of course, this is all dependent on what they actually did, isn't it? Not wrapping this up by HC leads to speculation that does not help the athletes themselves or the school. Why the delay?
