That's so at odds with his cuddly teddy bear persona. That's so hard to believe. Are you sure that's true?

The Patriots almost never move their practice indoors. Belichick: “We’re playing outside, we’re practicing outside” boston.cbslocal.com/2015/01/08/patriots-belichick-on-weather-were-playing-outside-were-practicing-outside/amp/ Maybe they ought to practice inside once in a while. #flyeaglesfly #its1SuperBowlTo1 And I think you'd take the other Patriots 16 years of this century over the Iggles in a heartbeat.

U of Alabama holds summer practices outdoors in 95-97 degree humid heat. "You practice not till you get it right but till you can't get it wrong", Nick Saban. Of course he gets the studs but they go to Alabama 'cause they believe that they are gonna' win. They go to Alabama and deal with Saban because they believe it gives them the best chance to get to the NFL.

My no.1 concern is clearly the qb position - did anyone see a 2-deep after spring practice ? Can we assume Wade is the starter going into camp, followed by Degenhardt ? We need production at this position to have a chance this season

I think it was Emmett Clifford who was throwing the passes in the most recent Fall Camp video

What's with all of this debate re: practicing indoors? You practice indoors when it makes sense to do so, ie, your practice field is torn up from over-use after several days of rain or there's lightening, etc. It's a great option to have, but you should practice in the same conditions you'll be playing in as much as possible.

I like that the team seems to bring a ton of energy and spirit to everything they do. I know we haven’t played a game yet under Chesney but I think we’re all going to be very happy with where the football program is in three years.

I know it was a closed scrimmage and I think switched from Fitton to the LAC but do we have any feed back ?

Where do they play ?

Well, here's some bad news -- one of our projected starting LBs apparently out for the year.

Yes, he's a good one - a very tough loss - but most teams face this sort of challenge with injuries - the good ones find a way - Next Man Up

Never want to lose a vet and probable starter but it happens unfortunately.

Regarding the kicking game, are we to assume that freshman Derek Ng will be handling those duties? He was one of the top ranked kickers in the country coming out of powerhouse Bishop Gorman.

For all of the hype that has been coming out in terms of videos and tweets, there really has been very little substantive information regarding individual players at individual positions. I realize that it makes sense to keep that type of information confidential in terms of "opp sec," so we will have to wait and see when the game notes and two-deep for the Colgate game are published (based on past practice, that should occur on Monday afternoon -- Aug 27).
As far as the kicking game is concerned, I will speculate that junior Cody Wilkinson will handle kickoffs, as he did last year. He's the only kicker who is also listed as a punter, so I presume he will handle the punt duties as well. Ng may challenge to handle the place-kicking (i.e., extra points and field goal attempts). Time will tell.

With travel to Hamilton on the 31st, installing the game plan probably starts tomorrow.

It was said somewhere that we were going to name a starting QB yesterday. Anyone have any knowledge of who was named?

Probably a true comment. The trick will be in making it happen. "If Chesney, in his first year at the Division 1 level, can keep his streak of winning seasons (currently 8) alive the Patriot League Coach of the Year Award will be heading to Massachusetts." I love having a "duel" threat on team. He must have won all of those duels if he is still alive and playing. It could make for some interesting half-time entertainment. "Freshman and Georgia native Justin Bruno was a dangerous duel threat RB in high school."

Looks like a pretty objective report and a 5 win predicted season looks accurate, though I am going with 6.
But besides the "duel" threat [watch out Aaron Burr, Hamilton has made a comeback, haven't you heard?], he has a couple of players years mixed up: "As a result, junior Derek Ng and freshman Andrew Beatty will be in the mix." Ng is the frosh and Beatty the junior.

Fencing is a big sport in Georgia high schools--I think young Bruno was second-team all-state in the epee.....

Temps in Worcester forecast to be in the 90s Tuesday and Wednesday. As HC is not playing in Tuscaloosa, the A/C in the Luth should benefit practice.
