When at full strength, I still believe Bucknell is the top team in this league.

If I read it right on ESPN, OSU is #15. A close loss by Bucknell. Makes the PL look pretty good.

Doesn't help Nathan Davis' stature in the all-important games-decided-by-five-or-less club . . .

URI looked good against us and they followed that up with an 83-70 win over West Va. today at Mohegan Sun. Colgate beat Marist yday by 16 in Hamilton. They'll be a challenge when league play begins.

Canisius will come to HC on Thursday with a 3-6 record after winning today at Elon 92-91. Remember they opened the season with a W at Bucknell Two biggest factors in that game were Sestina being out with an injury, which led to Canisius having a big rebounding edge, plus Bucknell hitting only 11-20 from the line. Bucknell fell behind by 20 early in the second half, closed to within six a few times, but couldn't get closer. Looks like a bad loss now.

Elon was 3-7 before the game - and they were a 1 point underdog at home. Both teams showed a lot more offense than was expected (about 20 points each above predicted scores). The two teams each had 33 rebounds. Canisius shot 51% from the floor (and hit 40% from 3 point range). Elon led by 6 at the half but the Griffins came back and outscored them 54-47 in the second half.

URI's next game is against Bucknell in Hawaii. Correct. Bucknell in Hawaii is the next game for Rhode Island. URI is in the middle of a stretch with six straight games away from home - @ PC, @ Holy Cross, vs WVU, vs Bucknell, vs TCU or Charlotte, and vs TBD. Last three games at Diamond Head Classic in HI. Mohegan Sun Arena was rocking with most of the crowd of 5,812 wearing their Keaney Blue today. It has become a second home for Rhody with six games being played there in the last decade. RI wins over Oklahoma State, Cincinnati, and West Virginia there. If URI had not played at Mohegan right after at Holy Cross, I think you would have seen more Rhody fans in Worcester last weekend.

Creighton is playing division 3 Coe college on national television FS1. We only get to have select home games on local TV. That's because FS1 is the BE's broadcast partner, and Creighton is the only BE squad playing today.
