This quote is a good reason why: "Last year's national quarterfinalist has been the only Patriot program with a winning record in each of the last two seasons..."

Oops, we do have six 00C games. Maybe Mr. Massey thinks Brown is in the PL and has us splitting with Yale and Harvard. Which of the Ancient Eight would most people be unable to name? Brown has to be a contender for that crown. I'll go with the Bears as well with Cornell as a close second. Ed Marinaro keeps them from claiming the top spot. and Ken Dryden and Andy Bernard.....

HERO preseason FCS Rankings: herosports.com/fcs/football-2019-hero-sports-preseason-top-25-fcs-ajajSpoiler Alert: No Patriot League team in the top 25. Colgate is mentioned as a "next best" along with Dartmouth and Duquesne and some others. If these predictions are somewhat accurate, Colgate does have some tough OOC games (Maine predicted at #4, Villanova and Dartmouth also mentioned...plus Air Force Academy).

Interesting, no Ivies in the top 25 in the Athlon poll. They do note Colgate's tough schedule (including #5 - in this poll - Maine)

It's awfully early but Street and Smith's 2019 rankings are in: 1. COLGATE; 2. HOLY CROSS; 3. GEORGETOWN; 4. FORDHAM; 5. LAFAYETTE; 6. LEHIGH; 7. BUCKNELL i always rely on pre-season polls, political opinion surveys, etc. that's why hillary clinton is now the potus!!!

After that, who cares? All five squads are approaching D3 quality. Something has to give in the PL. Fordham has collapsed. Lehigh, well good luck to them. Enough said. Lafayette is content to be lousy at everything. Georgetown takes the moral high ground on football scholarships but somehow takes a different view of basketball. Bucknell, why do they even bother with the gridiron?

Ivy and PL isn’t even in the same stratosphere on this ranking. 10 Colgate then #2 63 Holy Cross. Fordham has really struggled since scholarship leveling.

That site hss our game vs Navy as a 28-17 loss for HC. I think most folks would take that 11 point margin. Massey has Navy favored by 25 (38-13).
Neither has it anywhere last year's blowout by BC. I imagine that is a good sign. Hope springs eternal.

I think (hope) we'll be fine in general but Navy right out of the chute is going to be a challenge...I'll give the 11

lol....they'll be tough though...7th in this year's CAA probably=1st or 2nd in the PL
Curious to see where the Ivy foes will be predicted...I'm sure both Yale and Harvard will be near the top, Brown near the bottom due to rebuilding.
Going to be tough to go .500 in our OOC games.
