Not a basketball guy at all but this score looks terrible! Are we just that bad?

Give the walk-ons some playing time. F-that...give the guys you're going to use every minute they can play, they need it. 1-26 from 3 point land.

Not a basketball guy at all but this score looks terrible! Are we just that bad? I did say back in the summer the team would be awful for quite a while, hopefully somewhat better in league play. Wasn't well received, as I recall. Nothing's happened so far that says I'm wrong. 2019-20 would have had a better year with BC, but, I'm 1000% sure it would have set the team up to be even worse down the road. Have to be patient with Mr. Nelson, he didn't have that much to do with the hand he's been dealt.

Well...every time we think we’ve seen the low point... As we say on Wall Street, don’t try to catch a falling knife. This could get worse before it gets better.....

New mark for the worst defeat in HC history...57 points. That breaks the mark for worst defeat set 117 years ago. Harvard will be a better showing for these guys, hopefully rejoined by Pridgen.

Single worst game in HC basketball history ? Worst in my lifetime and I'm pretty old. Having said that, I think they will play much better against Harvard.

RGS. Only saw the second half. Seemed like from what the announcers said Pridgen may be out longer than one game with his injury (the nature of which they did not indicate).

109 looking at Crossports a couple minutes ago. Unfortunately that is the highlight for the night.
Up to 111 now.

The positive takeaway from tonight is that Martindale, Humphrey and Rabinovich have already signed their letters of intent and cant back out.

I got in the car around 8:15 to drive home from work. Was excited to listen to the end of the game in the car. First possession, all I heard was the sneakers on the floor. No background noise whatsoever. I thought it must be bad. Then Lutsk said something like 90-34?!?!? What the . . . Glad I had to work late and didn’t drive up for that one.

Yep, the defense was bad, atrocious even. That said, the player with the highest scoring average in the country showed why. I can't count how many off balance, falling out of bounds 3s he hit. Unbelievable. I think Northeastern would have beaten Maryland tonight. I don't think that most teams would hit that many 3s if there was literally no one on the floor against them and they were taking practice shots.
Here's the thing. How will the players and Brett Nelson learn and react to this debacle going forward?

Worst loss I have seen in 42 years. So many holes on this team. We are not athletic and we play small at every position and have many non D1 players on this roster. Carmody left this program in shambles. 3-4 year rebuild. Wins will be very tough to come by!

The shooting percentage differential was off the charts. NU shot 55 percent from beyond the arc, HC shot 7 percent. NU's FG percentage was 60 percent, HC's percentage was less than half that. Each team had 70 possessions. HC made one more FT than did NU!

I sort of expected this at Maryland. Northeastern's good, may even end up being the best team in New England by March. But yikes....

Young or experienced you need to shoot better than 29% from the field and better that 7% from deep 2-27 with many being open looks. You have those nights and when you do you are going to get pounded. Tonight was even worse but at the end of the day a loss by 1 or 60 is a loss and you need to get over it and prepare for the next opponent. How do you integrate Copeland and Faw and what combinations will work against different matchups mean the adjustments and player development over the next Six weeks before we open PL play are critical

The number of points we gave up to Assumption was the canary in the coal mine.

Imagine betting the over, seeing that Northeastern scored 101 points and finding out that you still lost.
