According to the announcers, first time in its PL history that HC has won four conference games in a season. As an asterisk,, the conference had fewer lacrosse members for nearly all those seasons, but HC apparently never won more than two conference games in a season until last year.
Have to think the new field house will help M/W lacrosse more than any other sport.

Great job thus far this season. HC lax is now respectable. Hope we can leverage the new facilities and start winning some league titles in the next few years.

Not quite that bad, since there 6 or 7 times HC beat Lafayette in the first 20 years. But it wasn't until 2013 that HC won more than one PL game. And this year is the first time with a record of .500 or better in league. Congrats.

Best we can do is earn three seed in the PL tournament. Worst we could do is a five seed.

Thanks for spotting that one, SoV. I would never have sorted that out without help.

I went back to the year 2000 to look at our yearly W-L records.
From 2000 thru 2012 our record in Patriot League play was
5-74
It appears that we have improved in the past several years:
2013= 2-4 2014= 1-7 2015= 3-5 2016=3-5 2017=4-3 with one game to play

It's game day at bu for tonight's game. playing for the no. 3 seed in the tourney and home game on tuesday night. a loss drops us to the 5th seed and we have to go down to navy. so lot at stake tonight. terriers are ranked 19th and coming off an ot win over loyola, so they pose a great challenge for our guys.

HC trailed BU 9-6 in the early 4th, but now up 11-10 with two minutes and change left. 11th goal came on a hidden ball trick.

Slowly but surely, we are developing a pretty solid men's lacrosse program.

There's a lot to be pleased about with this program now. A win at Navy in the PL Tournament to get to the semifinals at Loyola was the next logical step. Next is a top 4 seed and playing for the championship on Sunday afternoon. This is definitely a program trending in the right direction.
