It seems folks are praying for rain. Maybe, we should try a Native American rain dance.

Not sure how much rain help us given DeMorat is so polished.
We need to take away his early looks and the impact of his quick release and quick/good decisions

The 2009 Holy Cross football offense was seemingly unstoppable in the rain. Scoreboard lit up amidst the raindrops against Sacred Heart, Northeastern, Colgate, Fordham and Lafayette that year. Ans that team threw the ball on occasion...
And with exception of the Fordham game, we weren't talking about light rain. Absolute monsoon for the ebtirety of the others.

Lafayette, IIRC, for the league title that year, was played in pretty nasty conditions. Heavy rain followed by short periods of nothing. Not cold, however, especially for Novembah.

Weather Bulletin From Riverdale: Sun is peeking through the clouds. Rain is abating. Very windy.. Forecast for tonight is for clearing skies and dropping temps. Tomorrow expected to be cooler with the possibility of showers in the afternoon to early evening. Rain or shine; wet or dry; sunny or cloudy; windy or calm, it seems to be perfect weather for HC to beat FU tomorrow. (Fingers crossed.)

Heck, even with rain, a monsoon or a blizzard it would be perfect weather for the Cross to beat the Rams tomorrow.

I sometimes feel as though I am still drying out from that one....and my girlfriend still accepted my proposal having sat through that "monsoon" with me. PS: Still glad Dartmouth went for the 2 point conversion.

Maybe tomorrow is the first time an HC game is stopped because of lightning in the area.

Do we really need Lewis firing 3s? No, Ng should kick the long field goals.

Storms will move through around 2 PM. 25 percent chance of rain at 1 PM, 75% at 2 PM, and dropping to 40% by 4 PM
Winds gusting from the SW at 24 mph at 1 PM, from the west at 29 mph at 2 PM, and from the west at 33-35 mph rest of the afternoon.
Coffey Field is oriented ENE / WSW
Jim Cantore and I will be at the Botanical Garden this afternoon watching leaves fly through the air as bolts of lightning slash through the darkened sky.

One thing that is clear is that it will rain during at least some of today’s game and there will be some gusty winds as well. Hopefully that impacts the pass-heavy team more than the run-heavy team. Ball security will be a key to one team’s victory today.

Per NCAA rules, a lightening strike within 5 miles of the stadium requires play to be suspended and both teams must take cover and play cannot resume until 30 minutes after the last strike is recorded. Thus, inclement weather could result in the kickoff being delayed or play suspended at some point.
