By the way, HC outdrew Eastern Washington, Kennesaw State, South Dakota State, Incarnate Word, South Dakota, and SE Louisiana.
So, second best attendance of the eight first round FCS games.

If this game doesn't sell out something is wrong. For Merrimack this has to be a big game. You would think a NCAA home playoff game would draw more than 4163 people too... If you can't say something nice about HC, come sit down next to bfoley.

Perhaps when UNH barely drew 2,000 for their FCS home playoff game against Lehigh a few years back they should've told their fans it was a soccer match then.

Patriot League team that lost by 43 points what you expect from smart football fans. ;-) PS: It was 2240

I would like all New England schools to attract 8-15k fans per game for football and 3-5 k for hoops
When that happens society will have a real chance to succeed in the future. Until then we are stuck with communities lost in a world of misery and a future for our kids and grandkids that remains in great doubt

Well, UNH is a soccer school right now with a preseason ranking of number 8 in the country and on national TV this week. I wonder the last time HC had a regular season game broadcasted in any sport on an ESPN TV Network.

“UNH is a soccer school”— you might just as well say “UNH is a Dungeons & Dragons school”.

To state the obvious, Thanksgiving weekend is less than ideal for the first round of the FCS playoffs. There's nothing optimal about pretty much all FCS playoff dates, 'cept the final.

The respective flagship sports of both schools are in bad shape.

FCS playoff football in the spring was awesome though. It'll never happen again but it was great the one season it happened.

Hopefully not, because w/the transfers being so voluminous, you'd have young men playing 10-15 games in the spring and showing up at a FBS school in the fall.

No one on a Holy Cross message board gives a flying —— what UNH drew for any soccer game ever, what they are ranked ever, or what tv channel they’re on. This last one is especially true if that channel is ESPNU. For future reference, all of these same rules apply for all UNH sports.

I seriously can’t believe you internet marks let this troll derail the thread. Do I need to remind everyone what a troll is, their intentions, and how you handle them? He’s loving this…
I’m going to start selling gold, my own “life lock” service, and storage shelters to this group if ya’ll aren’t careful….

If no, then let’s got to #2: #2 - The College World Series games a few years ago against Nebraska and Oregan State I believe were on ESPN 2. If not, then let’s go to #3: # - The HC v UNC game in Chapel Hill about 7 or 8 years ago was on ESPN 2.

I said regular season and FYI, Holy Cross did NOT play in the CWS and I said regular season. Rhody is sold out of Season Tickets for football. No clue what that number is but big things are expected in Kingston.

Remaining tickets for the Delaware game are between $40 and $91 on the site that came up when I googled URI football. The Spags mentality keeps HC ticket prices reasonable but doesn't extend south across the State line apparently.

Isn't Meade Stadium only slightly bigger than the Hart Center's seating capacity?
