But would it be four seasons of Athletic scholarship or five today? Would each of the five scholarship years be counted against the 60 allowed in each of the five years? I don't see how HC could have a player on the roster receiving a nickel of athletic scholarship and not have it count against that year's maximum of 60 full scholarship equivalents. If HC is paying the 10th semester for someone who is not on the football team, and has already completed the requirements for a degree, should that scollie aid be counted against the football scollie cap? I do not know, but I suspect that if, for example, ten fifth year seniors on scollies are enrolled only for the fall semester, that those are counted as half scollies, not full scollies. Counted as half schollies at HC but a full schollie for a grad transfer like Foley at Duke (for last year anyway unless he dropped out of grad school for the Spring semester) and thus giving Holy Cross Football a distinct advantage for once over schools with graduate schools? If so, is there any limit to Coach Chesney's mastery of college football? But realistically it could be too good to be true that HC gets away with spending a half schollie for a full season and generally schools don't.
