I have eight tickets and one garage parking available this weekend, as family needs and fear of being a jinx to our success prevent me from attending.
PM if you have an interest in bringing someone special that wants to be at this special event
I have four seats in the fifth and four seats in the twentieth rows
If no responses I will give them to the local boys and girls club
Gosh I wish I could be there
Go Crusaders and Crush the RAMS
66-31

We saw that Laf, with two weeks to prepare for us had a great game plan. Fordham also has the bye week before our game - will they also come up with some wrinkles to confuse us ?

Great games are for when I do not have a deep rooting interest.

Some random thoughts... Did the FU "D" go to school watching the Lafayette "D"? Do they have the talent to at least approach the level of Layette's "D"? To wit: Stack the box and spy on Sluka. Stop the HC ground & pound while providing lock down coverage on HC's receivers. Can HC slow down the high flying FU passing game? Will there be an effective pass rush to at least throw DeMorant off stride? Can the HC DBs cover the FU receivers? Can HC neutralize FU's RBs? Which team will exert its will, dictate and control the flow of this game? Counterintuitively, defense has to be the key to win?

I believe we have beaten the Rams 5 times in a row with DeMorat QB in the last 4 Ram losses.
I’ll ask the experts here: does a college QB get significantly better from an additional year of experience when it is year 4 to 5? Obviously, Sluka had gained a more rounded and better skill set being a better passer despite the Lafayette game.
My best guess is DeMorat is better, marginally, but how are his receivers compared to the 4 prior years and I’d like to think our defense is better though we have been missing Jake.
If I had to bet, we’ll win but it’ll be 10 or under point margin.

If we play like we did last weekend it won't be a close game and the PL gets 2 teams in the tournsment If we play the way we can it won't be a close game and we position ourselves to be a top 4/5 seed
Which team shows up to Fitton on Saturday??

HC have contained Fordham throughout the DeMorat years so far. No doubt we need to clean up the penalties, especially the late hits, and the possible ones for taunting. Need to stay focused on the ultimate game plan, have more point on the board than them, by any means necessary…..offense, defense, and especially special teams. Some quick stats comparing DeMorat's passing performance against Holy Cross versus his performance against other teams
Stat---- VS HC----VS Others
Comp Pctg---59.9%----61.2%
Yds/Att-------7.2 --------8.0
Yds/Rec-----12.1--------13,1
TD%---------4.5%------7.2% (TD Passes/Attempts)
Int %------4.0%-------2.0%
Sacks/Game--3.8----2.0
W-L--------0-4--------20-20

Demorat and receivers are part of an offense which has progressively improved over the last five years. In Demorat's Freshman year he led the 4-6 Rams against the 1-9 Crusaders before 2988 at Fitton and threw for 273 yards in a loss. Expect his best effort yet against HC on Saturday.

A game that could havev1200 yards of combined offense and the over/under of 105

Can they score more points against a tough Crusader defense than an improved Crusader offense can score against a pretty weak Ram defense?
And can the Rams stop Haskins from blocking more punts?🏈

If Fordham wins on Saturday, they would have to lose two PL games for HC to have a four-peat, right? These will be two motivated teams.

W-L--------0-4--------20-20 TD, sack, and turnover numbers the ones standing out. I wonder if our pressure and our line is better than most FU opponents. Thanks for finding this. I think the tale of the lines will be interesting. Who protects better...i think we can attack their corners and our db's are good enough to handle Fordham as long as we can get some pressure. Don't need to be hitting a slot guy on an OLB or a slower SS. I think we will be ok defensively. I think Lafayette has a recipe for success against FU.

Will be interesting to see what surprise packages that Chris Smith will dial up on Saturday. New weapons to be unleashed not previously used this year. Maybe he has been waiting for 10/29.

This is the biggest game since …. Last year's league championship game in the Bronx. Or better, last year's second round game at Villanova.

I think you're probably right. 9-2 with one of the two losses being to either Georgetown, Lehigh or Bryant would certainly put us on the bubble. Only saving grace would be our huge win over Buffalo. Selection committee historically has given brownie points for FBS wins. This Saturday is a one-game season. Win and we're in, baby!

We saw that Laf, with two weeks to prepare for us had a great game plan. Fordham also has the bye week before our game - will they also come up with some wrinkles to confuse us ? As far as preparation goes, I think the biggest difference maker for Fordham will be how to find a way to stop our ground game and to see if they have the horses to reign in Sluka like Lafayette did. Sluka had his coming out party against the Rams at home in spring 2021 and had his first prolific game as a passer the following fall in the Bronx. So he's historically played well against Fordham. They will be foaming at the mouth to stop him. On offense, I think the Rams' approach will be "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Our defense is very good. Fordham's offense is superb enough where I know they WILL score against us. Offense will need a performance like the 2nd half against Buffalo and we should be able to manage that against this Ram defense. We may need to score 42 points or more to win this. Pressure is on the O. I hope we stick to what makes us great. The last three Fordham games were defined by the Rams' inability to play a full 60 minutes on either side of the ball. They have not been a second half team against US. However, this year they've kind of been the opposite. Start out slow, especially on defense, and then come roaring back in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to take over games.
