Was that pic taken at the Fordham game ? - that crowd is just what it looked like from my seat that day with the crowd (unusually) scattered in the corner and end zone

Here is a "local" weather forecast from a guy who runs his own forecasting company. This forecast is for the route 20 corridor, Worcester to Springfield..He updates frequently, and is fairly accurate for the local forecast....Check back each day to see his updates. www.route20weather.com/

The west end zone doesn't have the tall grass by the fence. No shadow of the video board. No shield at the 50 yard line.

. Is there a HS game there on Turkey Day?. No more St John’s - St. Peter’s game on thanksgiving. St Peter Marian merged with Holy Name to form St. Paul’s. Both now play new Turkey Day opponents.

In Connecticut there are two grass fields for Football that I can immediately name …UConn and Wesleyan.
The date on the twitter picture is April 3, 2020. The game shown would have been in the 2019 season or before.

Also no tent set up for visiting locker room and they've been using that for a while now.

Only you would suggest something insane to take away from an incredibly groomed field that would be special anywhere in the country God Bless this country and board that responses eventually come from open and honest evaluatiom But this is a board of opinions so I suppose foley is allowed to express his in this open society, which is rarely allowed by government

Looking at the cars in the upper right hand corner of this photo combined with the ambulance in the lower right and font used in the endzone (and it was not the purple checkerboard we had for a while), I'm thinking late 80s.
Looks like rain will be wrapping up by kick, but wind will still be strong. Go Cross!

This morning's National Weather Service forecast for Worcester. Would seem that there'll be no parking on any lots that are not concrete/asphalt. If there is a thunderstorm in the vicinity at noon, this may be the first time that a HC football game in Worcester was delayed or paused by lightning. Last year's game @ Fordham had a thunderstorm-related suspension of play.

I think it's been explained before but what purpose does the tall (sea?) grass by the fence serve? Holy Cross' version of "Between The Hedges"? We've been looking to plant some of that stuff, you wouldn't believe how many varieties there are. Holy Cross had (and as far as I know, has) no plans to use Fitton Field for soccer, lacrosse, football practices, concerts, you name it; not even graduation most years. I don't see what the problem is/was doing what they did; turned out nicely. And, let's not get into the flood plain disucssion!

Last year's game @ Fordham had a thunderstorm-related suspension of play. Tough one if the game can't start until after 1:30; especially if they insist on 2-3 min commercials and/or not starting the game right up after they're over; however, given how close Bryant is to HC, there are certainly other options.

Many reasons why common sense would say move the game to Sunday...

The morning weather forecast on the Boston Eyeopener (WCVB) predicted most rain would be wrapping up between 10 and 12 in Worcester with the occasional shower in the afternoon. Winds lessened as well unless you are down the Cape. Looks like we will have wind but the rain and thunderstorms should be winding down. Only delay I see would be if warmups had to be delayed due to lightning. Personally, from what I've read about Bryant (I'll post a "tale of the tape" later today), I'm happy to play in these conditions. It should benefit us and hurt Bryant's offense. They can't run the ball like Fordham, so I think if we control the trenches, we pull away in this game. Wind could help slow down Bryant's pass offense.

Many reasons why common sense would say move the game to Sunday... This would only happen if a lightning delay pushes game time to point where it can't be finished before dark, IMO. But certainly its an option

Two pages on the weather forecast for game in a sport that is played in rain, sleet, and snow; and is still two days away. Good lord...

Two pages on the weather forecast for game in a sport that is played in rain, sleet, and snow; and is still two days away. Good lord... Not worth two pages, but worth noting that weather will have a major impact on parking for the game. Most fans will have a longer, more time consuming walk into game. People showing up at 11:55 planning on the garage, might be in for an unpleasant surprise - even if they have a garage pass In terms of the game, bad weather can sometimes be a great equalizer. If scoring is low, it's easier for an underdog to hang around. The chances of a lightning delay are remote enough I am not concerned about daylight

Streaming space is not the same as air time. Wouldn't ESPN+ love it to balance their huge Saturday college football lineup with a Sunday game? All those people who prefer college FB to the NFL would have something to watch.
