Streaming space is not the same as air time. Wouldn't ESPN+ love it to balance their huge Saturday college football lineup with a Sunday game? All those people who prefer college FB to the NFL would have something to watch. I am hard pressed to buy that rationale...if there were such a market don't you think ESPN would have 1-2 college games on a Sunday to attract those people? Do you think there will be college FB fans that did not already have an intent to watch this game on Saturday that would tune in Sunday over the NFL? I find that pretty hard to believe.

I think it's been explained before but what purpose does the tall (sea?) grass by the fence serve? Holy Cross' version of "Between The Hedges"? We've been looking to plant some of that stuff, you wouldn't believe how many varieties there are. Holy Cross had (and as far as I know, has) no plans to use Fitton Field for soccer, lacrosse, football practices, concerts, you name it; not even graduation most years. I don't see what the problem is/was doing what they did; turned out nicely. And, let's not get into the flood plain disucssion! Grass should grow great in the flood plain...nice, moist soil.

I don't think you can skip ads by watching late. Why would ESPN care if I watched the game on Saturday or Monday?

Well, I am one who may not be able to watch on Saturday, and would gladly watch on Sunday.

I always thought the NFL, Networks and NCAA had a written or unwritten agreement about Saturday and Sunday scheduling but it shouldn't be violated by one weather related reschedule on streaming.

When New Year's Day falls on a Sunday, bowl games are played on Monday (holiday observed) instead of on Sunday due to an agreement with the NFL.

They've also had the bowl games on Saturday December 31st in the past when this took place. It happens every 7 years but feels like it's been longer since last time this happened, perhaps there was a leap year in there that had January 1st skip a Sunday.

Any thunderstorms long gone by game time. Heaviest rain bands are in central New York, Green Mountains, northern New Hampshire

We’re running out of room— maybe we should start separate threads for precipitation, wind speed, and cloud cover….

How many individual raindrops are expected?

How many individual raindrops are expected? Couldn't find that but 27,154 gallons of water fall per acre with one inch of rain. A football field is 300 x 160 feet, so 48,000 sf and an acre is 43,560 sf so around 30,000 gallons will fall on Fitton if the storm drops an inch of rain. Now we just have to find out how many rain drops are in a gallon.

We’re running out of room— maybe we should start separate threads for precipitation, wind speed, and cloud cover…. No need! Here is all of that in one image! For Worcester Airport: Top row: Wind gusts velocity, sustained winds velocity and direction. 12 PM: Gusts of 31 mph, sustained winds of 16 mph, wind direction, due west Second row: Precipitation (rain) potential. 12 PM: 19 percent, and dropping thereafter. Third row: Likelihood of rain. 12 P:M: Slight, and none thereafter. Fourth row: Thunderstorm potential. 12 PM: None. (Slight chance of thunderstorms 7AM and 8AM)

I know people are getting tired of this thread, but I went searching for parking info. Last year we would get E-mails. None. The HC website says baseball field is closed. West/Hojo's and freshmen field are open. Baseball fields passes will be accepted at either or the parking garage. Obviously that means those could fill up.
The note on the website was from yesterday afternoon. Parking starts in about 20 minutes so if they were going to shut others down, things are getting a little tardy

For all the weather geeks out there that couldn’t sleep because of the forecast - rain is stopping at the hour - by noon it’s 69 degrees, no chance of rain and 16 mph winds Amazing weather I’d say
