As far as I know there's not a single person on Crossports who knows what Chesney's contract (they're not all the same) says or what he's thinking. It's all idle speculation.

Exactly the position Crossporters are in on a number of contracts.(Not to mention other idle speculation on other topics). And the same position Crossporters were in last year when Chesney talked to Delaware during their coaching search.

I hope someone got a good picture of the Sluka TD run that was called back (where he had his helmet and headband knocked off his head). To me, that captured the essence of what this kid is about: not getting knocked off stride one bit; hair flowing; the "is that all you got?" look on his face as he went into the end zone.
IF they can somehow, someway find a way to keep next weeks' game close for 3 quarters, I would not put it past Sluka to do something amazing, yet again.
Special times to savor.

SDSU physicality & intensity will be of a different order. The SDSU football site says the game is at noon Saturday in their 20,000 seat stadium.

SDSU physicality & intensity will be of a different order. Knowing the mentality of our Crusaders, the staff and team fully embrace the mission in regard to committing to excellence in winning both on and off the field. The results clearly speak for themselves. Within that mission is the mantra, “we don’t take a back seat to anybody.” LET’S WIN !!

Went to the game Fordham beat themselves. UNH is good but capitalized on Fordham mistakes (turnovers) and the Rams bad special teams. Will be good to play a new team and I think the Crusaders match up well with the Wildcats. UNH should also bring some fans. What are we thinking crowd wise 6k? Seriously! Fordham beat themselves? The arrogance of some posters on this board never ceases to amaze me. I can only imagine what some people will sound like if a CAA team which is a higher ranked and respected conference beats the number 8 seed next weekend. It will be all that Holy Cross beat themselves. I try to have respect for my opponent and realize on any given day anyone can beat anyone. Holy Cross is a very good football team and has shown that every Saturday they've played so far. It will take a great effort for UNH to beat them. To take this full circle: UNH didn’t lose that game yesterday. Holy Cross won it - handily.

It was obvious from the FU game UNH was not a particularly physical team. They were ploughed under by HC's superior strength & depth. SDSU will be more of a challenge. Win or lose HC will be up to any challenges. LET'S WIN!!

We played the Jackrabbits 4/4/2021 and lost to #2 seed SDSU 31-3. To win on their home field would be along the lines of the '42 Crusaders beating the BC Eagles. .
However, if we want to be national champs, we have to beat the best and might as well give it our shot. I won't predict a win but do believe while they must be better to now have a #1 seed, we are unquestionably better and do predict we will do better against them than Delaware and they'll have to work for a win. Perhaps with some lucky bounces we can pull off the upset.
Fight on as knights of old with hearts as loyal and true and bold and wage the bitter fight with all your might fight on for Holy Cross
(those are the words my father taught me, if not 100% the way it's sung today)

Still drying off! What a game! I was next to the shirtless people. It was so loud and so much fun!
Great crowd for the weather and tons of people stayed! Weather helped us I think.
To all the CAA fans and all the UNH fans that said we were weak. WELCOME TO THE PATRIOT LEAGUE! The wambulance is on the way.
Everybody is picking SDSU as they should they are a top 50 FBS team. I hope we can pull it out never know. Just to be 1 of the 8 teams left feels good.
If we want to be the best we have to beat the best!
PS Running on the field again is Awesome!

That’s what I thought at the time, score would have been closer.

I went back and watched the HC/SD State game again a few weeks ago.
There was also muffed punt in the game that cost us points in the game.
Sluka is a much passer now. Siderman came into the game when Matt was struggling throwing the ball.
HC has a lot of the same players that are much more mature..
I am guessing SD State is better now too - they still have the same QB and the two twin brother receivers that hurt us in the game.
I suspect we will be big underdogs and our margin of error will be small. If we can avoid mistakes and take advantage of our opportunities we will have a chance.

I was being sarcastic, repeating themes I've read here often. As Deion Sanders just told his team, if a coach isn't elevated, he's terminated. You move up to the better opportunity when you have the opportunity, because it may not present itself again. Honestly, if Chesney was satisfied to be our head coach forever, I'd question his drive. These guys, like top athletes, get to where they are by always wanting to be better than the next guy and proving it at continually higher levels.

But he has the support of the administration, a house in Worcester, and he is building a good thing...why would he leave? 1. Money. 2. Opportunity to compete at a higher level. 3. Money. I was being sarcastic, see my response to alum above
