Too bad we don't have a coach, yet. Two interesting portalers from New England: the big from Maine, (Campbell), and a point guard from Boston, (name escapes me but he's at VMI and played for Malden Catholic). Both are frosh. The Boston kid is 5'9" and averaged 10 ppg as a frosh. Not sure what Campbell did at ND. I think he is 6' 8".

College #4 for Wilbar-unbelievable . He may end up having to pay tuition and walk on somewhere. in 2024-2025 He has used his "free" transfer and will have to sit next season if he is at D-I

In theory, I assume you can get a waiver for anything. That being said, the new free transfer rule says that if you have used that free one, you do not get another free one even if there is a coaching change. I imagine it doesn't hurt to ask for that waiver. Also, there might be an exception if dropping down from D-I

Which opens up the door Tse, Dorsey, Octave as well as any other rising senior or below to leave and reclass (RJ and JM are both currently listed as sophomores)

I said technically assuming Wilbur is still enrolled at HC. Portal is really heating up. 135 added in the last 24 hours. One from UMass who I think is their top player, Noah Fernando’s.

I just hope Batch has no interest in becoming a traveling gunslinger for hire. I hope he has found his school for the next sixty years. Bo has three years in, was spotted at the women's game yesterday and has Austin Butler and Avery Labarbera as examples to emulate in gaining a degree and a four year BB career at HC, then a free masters degree and playing good basketball after completing the mission at HC leading to being an alumnus in good standing from two fine institutions and two basketball programs.

Which opens up the door Tse, Dorsey, Octave as well as any other rising senior or below to leave and reclass (RJ and JM are both currently listed as sophomores) RIsing seniors can transfer and reclass. Below rising seniors cannot re-class. Members of the class of 24 played their first year of college ball in 2020-21 which the NCAA says does not count towards eligibility. Members of the class of 25 (current sophomores) were in high school for that "free" COVID year. They do not have the option of re-classing and getting a do over. Hopefully does not apply to Holy Cross, but it will be interesting to see how free the NCAA would be with potential waivers for coaching changes. Especially since, when they changed the policy to allow for one "free" move, they came right out and said someone who transfers and has a coaching change at their new school will have to sit a year before playing at a third school

That rule will likely be amended if it is seen to be blocking P-5 schools from getting what they want

Tyler Houser a 6’9” forward who along with his fellow frosh mentioned above, made All Rookie Southern Conference. He was 3rd team all-state large schools in PA last year and had a 4.0 gpa in hs. He stuck with his commitment to VMI when they made a coaching change last Spring. VMI had a tough year this year, going 7-25. Houser averaged 11 points and 5 boards. He’s a big kid, 235 lbs., but it looks like he likes to shoot 3’s since he took 120 of them this past season. He hit 35%. Came across him on the Fairfield board.

I am going to guess Houser isn't very athletic as he only had 2 D1 offers coming out of high school. VMI and Navy. VMI listed him as a center.

Bowling Green, (hello Kit), had 3 players enter the portal this morning including a point, Kaden Metheny, who we offered almost 4 years ago when he was a rising senior. He had 20 offers according to Verbal Commits including 4 high academic schools. I think he has 3 years of eligibility left due to a Covid year followed by a medical redshirt year. Averaged 10 ppg as a frosh in 20-21.

Kid said he took real pride in his defense. Kit was at BG for Metheny's first year and a half.
