With all due respect, if you are a weak sister in a weak league (for now), even if you want to make a move, who is going to want to take you into their conference until we get substantially better? That is what makes HC relationships valuable and importantto attempt less tarnishes the HC brand and eventually will impact our four for 40 message I would suggest if we engaged our influencers there are few things HC can’t accomplish not suggesting we do something that creates discomfort, but encourage us to build a future of growth beyond the current conference structure i dont need all academic schools-heck we don’t have that with the PL no matter what some believe I don't think that "relationships" and "influencers" can do much. The decisionmakers at individual schools are the athletic directors and presidents and I think a supermajority have to agree to make changes to conference memberships. Their jobs are to be ruthless and to demand that new schools bring something to the table. It is hard to believe that HC can cajole an entire conference into taking us in on the basis of relationships. First question from most of these conferences will be: Why are you spending $4 million per year on hockey?

Odds on HC leaving the PL in next 10 years = 70/1.

You just randomly picked "70," didn't you? Nothing to do with my post or ts1970, right?

I don't disagree that if we want to win in men's and women's hockey, we ought to do more. I just think that most of schools in the leagues that people would have us join view our participation in those sports as a drag on our athletic programs. I don't think anyone can dispute if the 36 scholarships associated with fully funded men's and women's hockey were spread out among several other sports we would be much more competitive across the board in the PL.

The other sports need a lot more than money to fix them, it would appear. And with the enrollment being so small, they might not be fixable.

If you attended a roadshow event, according to the coaches in attendance, money was what they needed by far Then they should focus on a non-revenue sport or two, give them within reason what's needed; and prove to everyone what the results are.

Busy couple of recruiting weekends- practice begins- and I believe an open practice next weekend There have been a couple of posts about an open practice. Last year I there were two. I think different target groups. Anyhow, I received something from the school/program informing me. I have heard nothing about an open practice from the school. Of course most people in polite society don't invite me to anything. I might have been deleted from the rolls to add a touch of class to the program

I have no idea if HC has contacted him but a high academic kid from nearby Northfield Mount Hermon worth keeping an eye on is 6’7” wing Vincent Chaudhri. He will probably go high major based on his offers but as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

HC was just mentioned on the ESPN2 telecast of Don Bosco vs Stepinac as one of the schools interested in 6’5” wing Brady Loughlin He hit.a 3 from NBA range. A fine pass as well.
