Morning after brain droppings. . . - It's not who starts it's who finishes. Down the stretch was Coulibaly, Nugent, Montgomery, Octave, and Williams. I thought it was interesting the leading returning scorer from last season was not on the floor for most of the stretch - Siena's big guy wasn't that skilled. Still it's asking a lot for Kenney to guard a guy 6" taller and 50 lbs heavier than he is. An athletic big man will cause big problems going forward. Pun semi-intended - Coach Paulsen has a lot of confidence in Williams. He played most of the game and played well. The second time HC ran it's last play, it was set for Williams to run up the court and shoot. Frankly it hit glass and front of rim. Not a horrible shot given the time constraint. - Got crushed on the boards in the first half. Better in the second half - One of the things Coach Paulsen talked about at some point was made free throws. I think HC had about 4 attempts in the first half. On a related note, HC went the first 10 minutes of game without a 2 point field goal. You don't get to the line from beyond the arc. 50 percent for the game from 3 yesterday. That won't always be the case - Like most freshmen, fouling is an issue. Nugent was one of the last starters to get a blow. But he had two fouls and that was the end of him for the first half. I think Singleton was 8th man in and picked up two fouls fairly quickly. My sense is that Singleton's foul trouble is the only reason Wills saw the floor last night - First 10 minutes or so was pretty ugly offensively. Hot 3 shooting kept HC in the game. Way too many possessions ended without the ball somewhere near the basket. Turnovers, multiple shot clock violations, I do not recall multiple shot clock violations

Disappointed no interview with CDP after the game - would like to have heard from him but then again, this is HC and we don't always act like a serious D.1 program If I'm wrong about this maybe someone can direct me to his post-game comments

Might include last second heave that did not touch rim

Coverage is pretty good with the weekly Chesney "all access" video, feature piece on a senior, post-game content and highlights, etc. Charles Bare handles men's basketball. We haven't gotten much here over the years.

Visiting coach never gets interviewed. Insufficient interest in PL hoops to have an interview room where both coaches answer questions

The Telegram doesn't send reporters to away games anymore. It sounds horrible, but who would be asking the questions?

The Telegram doesn't send reporters to away games anymore. It sounds horrible, but who would be asking the questions? Men's basketball SID. I don't know. It was done a couple of times last year, but always after a win. Just seems like the post game questions wouldn't be too pleasant after a loss. I expect a journalist to ask tough questions. I'm not sure that falls under the job description of the SID. The coach and the SID are colleagues in the athletic department. . Doesn't seem like a scenario for asking tough questions

Season Tickets starting at 9 dollars per game at an arena is very low. I believe the upper level of the arena is tarped so the seats can’t be too bad.

Siena has always had great attendance, relative to the low-major world. Part of the reason the MAAC keeps its tourney in Albany more often than not -- also a convenient mid-point between Metro NYC and Buffalo.
There was one year, a long time ago now, that Siena made it to the NIT Final Four and pretty much took over MSG.
The rise of UAlbany as another solid mid-major in their city I believe has hurt a little. Both in terms of dominating local recruiting as well as in home attendance.
I was at our game there in December 2007 that we lost in OT.

Siena basketball is the only game in town for a large radius. Perhaps U of Albany should be considered as well but they are somewhat of a newcomer.

Obviously, Albany being the state capital helps with attendance as well.

You would kill for 2200... I'd settle for 2,199 if it means you're not in attendance
