The great defender, Dunn, committing an atrocious foul on a 3 point attempt, was a killer. Confusing that a great clutch shooter like McNeeley, struggles so much from the line. Free throw shooting is a special skill, only time when there is no game action. It is more of a mental than physical skill. agreed.....miss 4 out of 5 FT in the final minute, coughing up a 6 point lead.....hard to do........The Dunn play just can't happen in that situation...

Then not fouling O’Donnell while dribbling and allowing him to attempt that 3 pointer was the final blow. Blame Bennet for that. It looked as if the defender was not trying to foul.

Checking to make sure I still get CBS Sports Network. St. Joe's vs VCU is on from the Barclay's Center in the A-10 Semis. Teams are a combined 0-16 from three point land. They have darkened the stands beyond the first section so it's hard to see how many fans are there. But the rabid ambiance of an on campus college gym during championship week is lacking. The Hart Center rink will be more rabid tonight, despite all the knocks against it.

Here’s an absolutely unreal score:
Iowa state 69 Houston 41
Incredible
Houston shot 11/34 on twos and 4/22 on threes

Yale, down by 4 with 20 seconds beats Brown on a buzzer beater. Kind of controversial because the Yale fans were making noise during the game, NAD and HCFC45 can confirm that Brown does not like it when opposing fans cheer.

Colgate, #14, playing #3 Baylor. Sometimes the CBS graphic showed over all seed. Colgate was the lowest seed #14

That may be one of the Gate’s higher seeds. Baylor has talented athletes, but this is a game Gate may stay competitive, for at least a half.

Big East with just 3 was a bit of a surprise. You spelled "joke" wrong...2nd rated conference, yet 6 conferences received more bids than them

Reminiscent of HC’s 2016 miracle run, after winning the NEC tourney from the 6 seed, beating the top three teams, the played Howard in the play in game. Wagner had a lead for the whole game, but Howard came back to within 3 on their last possession. Howard proceeded to miss three attempts on three point shots and lose. Reminiscent of HC’s 2016 PLT championship game when Lehigh missed multiple (3 or 4 ?) threes on its last possession

St. John's has a great history with the NIT. Disappointing to me.

St. John's has a great history with the NIT. Disappointing to me. I trust Pitino knows whats best for his program from both a development standpoint and the standpoint of recruiting at both the HS and portal levels. That said, would a SJU team that wasn't worthy of a tourney bid, but worthy of an NIT bid turn down the NIT, or is this partly motivated by Pitino and the University being stung by the submission? I suspect it could be the later.

An arrogant person who rules his new roost. His words have drawn much criticism for SJU.

Oh my lord—-Kentucky lost to Oakland…..,,
Jack Gohlke of Oakland hit 10 of 20 three point attempts. Get this-for the season he has attempted 347 threes versus 8 two point attempts. Not a typo- 8 vs 347

Not a typo- 8 vs 347 KY That disparity is obviously dramatic but not as much as one might think if you were aware of Greg Kampe’s coaching philosophy. I heard him speak at a clinic where he said that the only shots he wanted his players to take were 3s or 2s inside the lane. He said that, if one of his players took a 2 pt. shot outside the lane, he would pull him from the game at the next dead ball even if he made the shot.

Oakland typically has a guy like this on their roster.
Several years ago it was Harvard and St. John’s transfer Max Hooper. 117 / 257 from three. Zero two-point shots attempted.
Over the course of his career, he attempted 479 3PT. 11 2PT.

Rothstein tweeted that Calipari's current buyout is $33,375,000. The folks in Lexington had better get used to that human pile of vomit.
