Did Jalen's recent injury doom his draft status?
I'm certain he'll hook up somewhere but it's a little disappointing he hasn't been drafted yet.

I think it’s quite simply just the level of competition. Only 7 FCS players taken and now into 7th round.
Luke Newman will be an interesting case study with his grad year at Michigan State.

Hear ya...but why was Jalen invited to the draft combine, on many people's mock drafts as high as a 4th round pick etc? Selfishly I'm disappointed that a player from HC wasn't drafted...would have been a good selling point for potential recruits etc

If a grad transfer is committed to an FBS school in the fall, could an NFL team offer to top his combined NIL and one year scholarship dollar value with an UDFA signing bonus or do the NFL and NCAA have an agreement (restraint of trade?) prohibiting that?

Some boards had him as high as 4/5 (Steve Smith) but others had him as UDFA (ESPN). Projecting players on day 3 is really hard. The delta is very wide.

His 40 and YAC frequently were raised by scouts
In reality you get to camp and play
A risk averse business
FCS experience is a risk for the next level

No. To be eligible for the draft or be signed as a UDFA, a player with remaining eligibility must declare for the draft. Once he does that he forfeits his remaining eligibility

Oooh. I thought we had Mr. Irrelevant for a second, but the Jets drafted Jaylen KEY, a safety from ‘Bama.

Holy Cross WR Jalen Coker is signing with the Panthers for 25k signing bonus and 225k salary guarantee, per source. But that guarantee is solely depended upon Jalen making the team, correct ?

True, but I don't know what rosters looked like then...only so much room for rookies on a roster, a 9th round pick is conceivable the 9th rookie the team expects output from

The Athletic’s comments on undrafted free agents The #238 is where they projected Jalen before the draft. Jalen was the #2 WR UDFA.
238. Jalen Coker, WR, Holy Cross (6-1, 208)
Coker has a sizeable jump in competition waiting for him in the NFL, but he is a rangy athlete with the length, body coordination and ball tracking that won’t make him feel out of place. He projects as a rotational receiver capable of making an NFL

The Athletic on CJ
How he fits
You can’t invest too much in the men who protect the NFL’s best quarterback, right? Hanson, Brugler’s 21st-ranked guard prospect and No. 255 overall, adds to the depth on the offensive line
Dane Brugler’s analysis
“A three-year starter, Hanson (6-5, 300) was a fixture at right guard in Holy Cross’ balanced scheme. A late bloomer, he started only one season of high school football before helping the Crusaders to five straight Patriot League championships in his five seasons with the program (became just the third player in school history invited to the NFL Scouting Combine).
“Hanson has the phone-booth quickness to maintain the integrity of the pocket when his hands and feet work in concert, although his rhythm falls apart due to below-average length and core strength by NFL standards. He is a grappler in the run game who is constantly working to gain leverage, but he can get tossed if his technique isn’t perfect.
“Overall, Hanson has functional movements and really focuses on the fundamental details of the position, but he will need to get stronger to outlast defenders in the NFL. He projects as a potential reserve on the interior
