The CDS for the class of 2027 now includes a geographical break-out. Applications / admittances / enrollees by In-state / out-of-state / international. In-state: 2,697 / 591 (21.9% rate) / 317 Out-of-state: 5,085 / 1,141 (22.4%) / 479 International: 928 / 97 / 28 VR hinted that the out-of-state applications for the class of 2028 were greater than for past years. And hopefully this is just the beginning. Let's double, triple, quadruple those applications.

I believe today (Sunday) was the 'accepted students visit day' - any posters know of any relatives/friends who have kids who have been accepted into the class of '28 ? Would be interested in hearing about what other schools they are considering and what they thought of the presentation today

Would be interested in hearing about what other schools they are considering and what they thought of the presentation today I expect a significant percentage of those who attended are enrolling students. The enrolling students are ED students, which constitute a high percentage of HC's entering classes. www.holycross.edu/accepted-students/open-house^^^ If I am reading the instructions correctly, many/ / most of these students already have a Holy Cross email account.

This explains the hoards of people on the one working webcam yesterday. I was trying to figure why so many people in the O'Kane circle. They couldn't all be there for a Sunday Mass!
The College is very happy with the 16% acceptance rate and I know of one, very highly qualified applicant on the wait list whose older sister recently graduated Summa Cum Laude and a campus leader. The younger sister has excellent grades and a 2 sport athlete. Still waiting.

On the bright side, Holy Cross took 42 off the wait list last year.
