After the game (#500 win for HCDP) The interviewer asked about the "turning point" of the game. My theory was that the turnaround came after the post that proclaimed "this team stinks." It seems that same line has led to a turnaround, comeback and a win on more than one occasion. If the team goes on to win (and even rto dominate at the end) I welcome a team that "stinks" in that way. You're welcome all

Noted that DP congratulated DeAndre with doing a terrific defensive job on Forrest.

A good win tonight. One of the better games this team has played...The D was as active as I can remember, hands tipping the ball, good early rotations, good job on the boards..On offense, Caleb, Bo and Batch played very well and shoty the ball very well... Bucknell's D early had the Cross a little bit off. Trouble playing against a zone, haven't seen a 1-3-1 this season that I can remember. Once that got straightened out, and the press offense figured out what had to be done, Bo, Batch and Caleb took care of the rest it...Bo and Batch combined for 10 for 13 3's! and Caleb was 11 for 14 inside !! Bo and Caleb both had double doubles!
The D really stepped up in the 2nd half, best defensive half they have played! A good win at home!

Down by 14 and playing really flat. Managed to turn things around and win by 14
HC had about 4 turnovers in the first 5 minutes. Not another one in the half. Second half, Sloppy passes leading to 4 turnovers in the first 5 minutes or so of the second half. Finished game with 9
Zero bench points. The flip side Montgomery and Kenney had huge offensive nights
Most of the year, when healthy, the team plays 10 deep. Wills didn't dress. Ryan DNP-CD. After 2 quick fouls, Coulibaly was reduced to 2nd half cameos to give Kenney a quick blow. Tonight was a much smaller core doing the lionshare. Not sure if Octave is 100 percent after his time off. While getting a lot of bench time with 2nd half, Octave was standing off to the side rather than sitting on the bench. I might be reading too much into this

HC goes 2-1 the rest of the way, we get to 8-10.
If BU goes 1-2 (and let’s assume one of those losses is to HC), they’d be 8-10 and we win the tiebreaker.
If Army goes 2-1, they’ll be 8-10 and beat us in the tiebreaker. Need them to go 1-2.
If Bucknell goes 1-2, they’ll be 8-10 and I think we’d likely win the tiebreaker against them.
Still a glimmer of hope for a top 6. Starts with a win in Annapolis.

Was at the Hart tonight... defense for last 25 minutes was outstanding. Can't remember the last time I saw a win in person.

It was really nice to see the team play like we all thought they might be capable of, but just hadn't gotten it together until now. Let's keep this going and see where it takes us.

Was the last 25 minutes or so the best stretch of ball for the program since pre Covid? Not sure, but it was fun to watch just the same.
Happy for Batch; hope he can keep that up down the stretch. Has to feel good.
You watch Bo play like that and think "man, he's gotta be one of the 10 best players in the league". Just wish those kind of games happened more often for him.
Caleb's night kind of snuck up on me - looked at the scoreboard early in the second half, saw 16 points, and thought it was a mistake. Just a man in this one.
Don't think Nugent was 100% - before the game during warmups he spent a little time getting acquainted with a trash barrel in the corner. Gutted it out just the same.
Guys seemed genuinely happy with CDP's 500th win; big smiles; saw AJ scooping up some confetti and putting it in his pocket (maybe he just likes a clean floor).
That Army game really stings now. Hopefully they have laser focus on Sunday because they can't get swept by Navy too, with Colgate looming. And BU has Morales back; makes them better for sure.

Halftime ceremony honoring the high academic student athletes was cool.
I wish they had stayed to watch the 2nd half.

The game is so much easier when the ball goes in the basket - for our team it’s that simple That totally captures last night.
A baseball team that is in a team hitting slump looks like they aren't trying.
A basketball team that is constantly shooting poorly can demonstrate they are "trying hard" by their effort on the defensive end. But, when they lose because they simply couldn't put the ball in the basket, one thinks "they just stink".
The truth on this HC team lies somewhere in-between IMO.
Assuming that Max Green (3G) and Tyler Boston (PG) give us some help next year at two aspects of the game that we are currently poor at, 3 pt shooting and PG play, respectively, things could improve quite a bit next year.
In any case, it was fun to watch a HC basketball game where the team looked like they had some confidence in their offensive game and executed efficiently.

Not a bad turnout for a team with a bad record on a Weds night in February.
