With the conditions being less than optimal….why was the game played?
Should have been postponed or cancelled.

Agreed. But I guess they feel some competition in sub-optimal weather is better than another day indoors.

The Fitton Diamond had dried nicely and now another extended rain. The Worcester Bravehearts get baseball weather for their season. I hope HC players who want to play for the Bravehearts are given favorable consideration when the roster is constructed.

The baseball families are incredibly supportive and generous, and I recommend you reach out to bring baseball into the 1843 and use those resources wisely. I am 100% behind supporting the CAF and 1843, they must co-exist.

There are rain showers moving into the area from the north. Maybe that was the reason.

Maybe the arms are coming along and the bats are doing just enough damage.

Phreek, the games were at WP and it wasn’t raining at any time during the games. Shortened games also helps with the pitching staff depth for tmro

Why was the second game seven innings? Great sweep! I thought this was often done in PL double-headers. On game is 9 innings and the second is seven. Of course with extra innings it can be a long day and there is another game tomorrow. BTW: In good weather the field at West Point is great (and historic)...BUT if it is raining (and I have been there for a couple of those) there is no shelter that allows a view of the field. The restrooms under the stands are a place to dry out a bit, but that is it.
