1) Hard to imagine someone transferring for these prices, all of which involve some work of some sort. Transferring from a high academic Jesuit PL team to a high academic Jesuit ACC team for more scholarship aid, yes of course. 2) The appearance fee reminds me of the old Irish joke about an old man on his sick bed and the Priest makes an appearance to administer last rites. Upon finishing the Priest takes his coat to leave and asks "is there anything else I can do for you?" The man replies, yes, turn over the garden for me. If a player visits a youth team I think they expect him to do a little coaching or throw batting practice or something for his $54 minus agency fee. BC baseball isn't at the Caitlin Clark NIL level. Holy Cross' major concern is still talented underclassmen transferring for better competition and more athletic scholarship aid.

If they were never caught (or tied), how did HC "blow" any lead??

If they were never caught (or tied), how did HC "blow" any lead?? I think going from 10-2 to 10-9 would classify as blowing a lead…despite still leading by a run.

The key there is "still leading". "Getting closer" to me is not the same as "blowing a lead." Just a personal interpretation, I guess.
